I bought this to replace a failing WD Live media player that was 5 years old so had served me well. First impressions are that it is a pretty solid bit of kit but a little bigger than I expected. After hooking it up I installed the latest firmware and decided to give it a test run. I chose a mkv file I had that neither my WD Live or LG Blu ray had been able to play correctly and it played perfectly with no tweaking required.Picture quality is excellent and sound very good plus I appear to have got a bargain (£143, now selling for over £200).The player appears to have many features that I am unlikely to use in the short term (scraping etc) as I would need to adjust many of my file names to take advantage and I just don't have the time at present.I would have given this 5 stars if it was not for the supplied power adaptor, it is a european style 2 pin plug and I have (for the time being) used an adaptor that I found lying around to connect to it to the socket. Amazon customer services were their usual efficient selves and refunded me enough cash to order a correct replacement power supply for UK sockets.All in all I can do nothing but recommend this highly as a media player.
