Perfect for beginner baker
This is the perfect beginners baking tools set. The turn table is great and I use the other tools regularly now I have got better at baking. The materials are really good quality and easy to clean. I use the turntable every time I make a large cake to buttercream it. Its not huge either so fits nicely in the cupboard and is space saving.

Good size
This 5 piece cake decorating set comes with the basic items needed to cover a cake with icing.The set comprises of a large turntable, 2 pallet knives and 4 icing smoothers/scrapers.The pallet knives seem pretty sturdy but compared with most other pallet knives these are very wide. This isn't an issue but just not something i was used to. Where these did work well was making swirling patterns in the finished icing.The icing smoothers are rigid to hold but flexible on the edges making them quite easy to use.The let down for me is the turntable. It's a good size but doesn't stay still on your worktop or kitchen counter. It moves when you spin it or apply pressure, when dirty icing for example, i was able to get the turntable to stay fairly still by placing one of my silicone mats underneath but i shouldn't have to and not everyone has one to use. The second and most important letdown is in the spinning. The turntable boasts a ball bearing design but giving it a hefty spin, once on the silicone mat, it starts slowing once you've let go. This is a problem for people who enjoy decorating cakes regularly or professionally as you need to be able control the speed at which it spins to get a consistent finish.A good set for a beginners as the turntable will go slow and not spin too fast and the other tools are good.
