Great quality
This product from Logitech is great and really easy to restore. For me, it didn’t work out because I have to place it from inside my home and the camera didn’t work well with glass in its way. The only way I would know that is by purchasing it. Thanks to the seller for making refurbished models available!Next place I live at, I’ll drill a hole for its cable.

All these cameras are horrible
This is my third attempt at buying Logitech's Circle view cameras, including their door bell and all of them ended up getting returned. Cameras have a very hard time connecting to HomeKit and after about a day or two they will just disconnect and HomeKit reports them as not responding. Quality build materials for sure and design is great but operationally these things are horrible!

Perfect for just Apple HomeKit users
Honestly from an Apple HomeKit user standpoint, this is the camera to get.For me, using it indoors in one room, it works great with the night vision being able to see the whole room. Plus with the functionality of it being tied with Apple HomeKit, it pairs easily and is controlled easily through the app. Honestly simple and clean with the interphase and system to use.The two main issue I have is 1) it uses USB-A (the old standard one), which makes sense at the time. While it does come with a power brick, if you want to pair it with your USB-C set-up, you would need to get an adapter or plan a bit. And 2) the cost is still way too high. For still over $100 that JUST ties to Apple HomeKit, you would assume this to be able to be lower or such. And while I see some "Acceptable" listings can be sold for $79, it still feels too high. You are paying for the convenience and the ease, and it being a brand name, it makes sense. I like it, I recommend it, but it can be updated or cheaper to be loved for all.

A great little camera, but you *need* strong WiFi
I have 4 of these and just bought number 5. I purchased my last one used and have had no problems so I’m going used again. These cameras and the Logitech doorbell are a perfect fit with the Apple ecosystem. They are a major upgrade over the Arlo cameras we had previously. I think the bad reviews come from users with weak WiFi. Your $99 router won’t cut it, especially if you are placing cameras outside. I had mixed results with my previous router, which I finally had to admit was past its prime and needed replacement. Since upgrading the router (Orbi mesh), the cameras and doorbell have been flawless. If you’re a committed Apple user (especially if you have a higher tier iCloud account for storage), have your WiFi in order, and don’t mind running some extension cords for power, these are the cameras to get.

Constant connection loss then it died
I purchased two of these and they both worked fairly well for a while. As time went one they developed connectivity issues (disconnected/reconnected sometimes dozens of times a day) eventually one failed completely (refused to pair after an hard rest) and then the other. They will go into pairing mode but can’t be found by any of my apple devices.

Requires a Home Hub in order to use!!
I thought this would be a simple plug in and connect to an app to use, but it’s not that simple and sadly I am returning this as it is unusable without having another device (explained below). First off, mine already looked open and used because it was dirty. Second, it does have a nice quality live stream but it does not record unless you connect it to a Home Hub (no explanation was provided of what this is) via an Apple TV or Home Pod (and what is this??). I had to do some internet digging to figure out what this was about. This was not in the description of the product which is crucial to know! I don’t want to spend another $100 on a Home Pod and I don’t have an Apple TV. I am sad that the old model is discontinued since I loved that one before - it worked well and did not require a subscription to record and save videos.

Smart Camera works well with my Smart Home.
Works well with my Smart Home system using my iPhone. It can tell whether I am home and changes to a streaming setting when needed.

Works most of the time but frustrating to use
Have it set up with HomeKit Secure Video. Camera is about 3 feet from a wireless access point. Connectivity has been good, haven't had any issues with it disconnecting. If the camera loses power due to a power outage, it will not restart by itself. You have to physically unplug/plug it in again for it to get back up and running. Luckily I have a UPS near the camera that I could plug it into, so it's not an issue for me. But if you don't, then you could for example have a brief power outage in the morning while at work and it would remain off until you get home in the evening and manually reset the power.Motion detection works ok, but sometimes it fails to record any movement for hours. This happens maybe 1-2 times a month, so for the most part it's ok but I don't feel I can fully trust it to record everything.HSV has several short comings. The video quality is limited to 1080p. Viewing the camera in the Mac home app is very buggy, so the iOS home is really the only option to interact with the camera. The camera can only be viewed from one device at a time. If you want to download all footage from a specific day, you will have to download each clip individually, which is very time consuming. Right now I want to save the footage daily for future reference due to a lot of contractors working on our house, so I am spending 20-30 min each day downloading the footage manually on my phone. As mentioned, the Mac home app is useless so I can't save it there. There is no option to save all footage at once. The footage is only kept for 10 days.I have mostly Reolink cameras in my house recording to my Synology NAS, but bought the Circle View for my living room since I like the design and the fact that it blends into the background. It does not stand out like a sore thumb like my Reolinks and most people do not notice the camera. But, due to the frustrations mentioned above, I am going to replace it with something else.
