I needed to move an approximately 900 pound safe around a room in order to install some flooring. The mover/lift was easy to use. I tilted the safe on it's side enough to get the supports underneath it. I then secured the two mover/lift pieces using the provided straps. The hand cranks raised the safe with little effort. I used a level to ensure the safe was going up evenly. I was able to easily move the safe on low pile carpet and 1/4 inch plywood boards. Well made product and I would recommend it.

Moved heavy safe well. Do wish it did better on soft ground. And the straps were a little more heavy duty. But other than those two things works very well. Could not have moved it with out the use of these movers.

It comes with a bolt in the base of the lifting screw to prevent the user from lowering the lifting plate so low that it detaches from the lifting screw. The result is a lifting plate that will not sit flat on the floor. All it took to fix it in my case was a 9/16 wrench and a longer bolt, easily found at any hardware store. The original bolt (which I've since tossed) was about 3/4 to 1 inch long. I replaced it with a 1.5 inch bolt and now the lifting plate sits flat on the floor when in the lowest position, while also preventing the user from lowering the plate so low that it detaches from the lifting screw. Aside from that simple modification it had no trouble picking up my 1000lb smoker that also has uneven lifting points. One of the advantages of the range of motion the lifting plates have is that it can pick each side of the object up even if they aren't the same height. The top bar is also adjustable to accommodate pieces that have a narrower top section that would otherwise cause the top of the machine to lean towards the piece. I use this tool to move large pieces of furniture around peoples homes, I have not used it on moving ramps or tried to use it to move large pieces across split level slabs. I have used it to roll a fully loaded china cabinet across a newly installed smooth finish wood floor and it left no indentations, but you should always roll the piece a short distance to make sure that you aren't damaging whatever it is you're rolling across.

It seems very well built and will probably work fine if all bolts are included. Ours was missing a couple so we weren’t able to use it. Our move was the day after the item arrived so we didn’t have time to file a claim or request to send us the missing parts.

Great product

The metal part are well made good welds solid matdrials. Everything else is not so great. We used them twice and they pretty much self destructed. The ratchet staps are cheap and bent first use. It has felt pads to keep from marring ,they fell off also first use. There are rubber pads on the lifting feet they were glued on. The glue didn't. stick as they slid off also with the first use.These are supposed to lift 900 lbs. More like 200. They use screw Jack's that felt maxed out. Spend your money on the heavier hydraulic units. For the money, l should have passed.

I bought this to move an upright piano in my home. This mover was very easy to attach to the pisno and to use without leaving any damage behind. I also used this to move a china hutch for painting, and did not have to empty out the cabinet. I did lay down any upright pieces before attaching.This us great for moving an upright piano or a large piece of furniture across the room. This would not help for stairs. Definitely a back saver, and a floor saver.The lifting mechanism was efficient. The wheels did take a little bit of 'persuading ' in order to turn them to get my piano to move in the desired direction. Overall, i do highly recommend this lift/dolly for moving upright pianos and other large furniture pieces.

This item is a back saver. I wish I had it years ago. When moving a big safe. It’s nice to know that you have 4 wheels to balance the weight instead of just 2 on a dolly.
