I moved into a house and we couldn't find the duct work to clean it out before using my dryer. Previous owner was a DIY and screwed up so much. We think he was venting dryer to crawl space. I ordered this Indoor Vent, installed it myself and it works great! I don't have to worry about hiring someone to clean out the dryer vents. I installed it above the dryer and I clean out the filter and the vent on the dryer and don't have to worry about lint build up and keep it all clean.

I put an extra washer and dryer in my laundry room. This is a great option to not have to put another hole in the wall to the outside. Works very well- no dust comes out. The flap works to show you when to replace filter and clean. Very please with it.

This def works as it should. It’s been quite a few months and I haven’t had to empty the lint track for a while. My dryer dries quickly and I see no problems with it.Setting up was a bit confusing but I eventually got it.Installing was a breeze only took me 5 min to screw it in!

I've had this for nearly 2 months and it has worked like a charm! My dryer is in my basement, and I previously used one of the lint traps with water. The water ones are such a pain because you have to check them constantly to make sure there's water in it, plus if you don't clean them with bleach or something often they smell to high heaven. This lint trap is a million times better, and so easy to clean. The only issuevI had was calibrating it. The instructions should be more clear as far as which side of the flappy thing (technical term) to put the weights.

This is exactly what we needed for our Electric Dryer as it would have been a hassle to run an outside vent. Plus I wanted the dryer to be easily movable so I rigged this to attach to the dryer instead of the wall.INSTALL NOTE: The little square metal, which let you know when it's time to clean your filter, is a smart addition... but you know how instructions can be... How it works: Your dryer vents with strong airflow and all of that air passes through your new (and clean) filter. As your filter collects lint, pressure builds up in the filter. The filter contains a little door flap that is designed to pop open as that pressure builds, signaling its time to clean your filter (remove the lint). They give you 3 pieces of metal that match the square shape of the door flap (with an adhesive). Your job is to determine how many to install according to your dryer which is very easy to do. Start with affixing 1 metal square to the flap door. Turn on your dryer and assimilate lint blockage by simply covering the outside of your vent (about 50%) with anything to build pressure. I used a book. If it pops open, add a 2nd metal plate on top of the first. If it does not open, then use your book to cover more of the vent. You are looking for the door to pop open when the blockage is about 75%. My dryer is small and it used 2 metal plates, i suspect bigger dryers will use all 3. Hope this explanation AND the instructions with diagrams helps you.

I can not find the weights to calibrate the notification flap

I love being able to release the heat and moisture from my dryer into my house during the winter and colder months. The filter works very well trapping the lint. Easy to install and during the summer I just dismount it and store it and reattach the outside vent.
