Great computer ,Very fast..Highly recommended.

So far I love it due to the memory and speed. I don't really use the touch screen but I suppose it's better to have it than not should the need arise.Great brand, great look and very light at a great price.

Bought for work at home which includes heavy virtual machine work but not gaming or image processing. I chose the 32 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD configuration and am very happy with it. There’s no excess fan activity as others have reported with the 64 GB RAM / 2 TB upgrade, and I had no problem registering with HP Support and purchasing a 2 year extended warranty. Love the touch screen, the keyboard, and the overall performance. The touchpad is a little sensitive but has produced stray inputs only once in a whole day of use. The fingerprint reader works very well. I’ve never had to attempt more than twice, and it usually works the first time.

The laptop is OK and performs as it should.I purchased this to replace my 6 year old HP Envy 17" laptop. The old laptop''s battery swelled up, and I when I replaced the battery I put the new battery in upside down momentarily damaging the motherboard. As a result the old laptop wouldn't run on battery at all, just on AC power. Oh well, 6 year old laptop so I guess it was due for replacement.Here are my complaints with this new laptop:1) The display resolution is lower, only 1600x900. The older HP Envy laptop did 1920x1080.2) The display contrast is not as good as the old one.3) The 32" external display I always use as a second monitor also only runs at a reduced resolution.4) I had both a SDD and a HDD in the old laptop, the HDD is not recognized in the new laptop when I transferred it.5) Fewer USB ports.6) No CD/DVD drive.Here are the positives:1) Ubuntu Linux 2.4 installed and runs easily.2) The processor is fast and the system is very responsive.3) The backlit keyboard is easier to see.Summary:I probably should have spent more time looking the the specs, but this new laptop works well, and the price was great.

First, the laptop came with no manual or any kind of booklet or anything. I strongly suspect that this laptop was refurbished and I did not want a refurbished one, I wanted a new laptop.I am returning it for a NEW laptop cause the fan inside of it sounds broken. It's making this loud obnoxious noise constantly like it's struggling to keep the laptop cool which is odd since it starts as soon as I turn on the laptop and it's not even warm plus I keep the underside of the laptop circulated. It doesn't not sit directly on anything, I have it situated so that the fan can work and air can move in and out from the bottom of the laptop with ease.The sound of the fan is making me crazy. It won't stop. It's very annoying. It's not a constant hum, it's more like it's keep trying to push itself into gear over and over again.This is terrible.First, it comes late and then I'm sold a refurbished laptop when I ordered a NEW laptop.Now it's taking forever to get my refund. But at least the seller is giving me a free refund.They need to inspect their refurbished laptops better before sending them out.I probably would have kept the laptop if the fan wasn't broken.What little u used it, it did seem like a good laptop.But I got a brand new one from Walmart that is a lot better. $100 more but way better.Walmart sells NEW laptops. And that's nice.
