Wow!!! completely change my opinion about budget audio equipment
I have a pair of Focal tower speakers that are fairly efficient. I purchased a couple of 90s era para sound amps to run them as recommended by the previous owner. I enjoyed them, but they always seemed a little flat to me. Recently I noted an increase in the his coming out of them when the unit was off. my budget didn’t allow me to purchase an audio file grade amplifier but I had read great reviews about monoprice amps. what a game changer! The speakers sounded richer, with more clarity and highs that I could only recall when I first audition them years ago I could not believe that a $500 amp could out-perform the $2000 Parasound. Maybe it’s just my ears, but I’m very happy with this purchase..

Great Amp for LCR speakers!
Paired with a Marantz Cinema 50 powering Martin Logan Foundation F1 LR, and Foundation Center. The M50 is actually pushing between 75 to 85 watts all 9 channels driven add with this amps 90 watts per front 3, more than enough power for the Foundations. Hearing little details in movies I would not have normally caught without this Amplifier. Clarity, Clarity, Clarity! So pure sounding. Movies are rich and detailed, while music is so clear and precise. For people with a smaller home theater, 83" to 98" TV, this will be the perfect setup! I use Martin Logan Motion 2's for Side Surround, and Backs with Atmos Reflection Speakers sitting on the Foundation speakers. Don't need the more expensive amps, Monoprice's Monolith is a great Amplifier!

Wow!!
I just received this amp, hooked it up to my Marantz SR5007 and the improvement in sound was immediate. Improved volume, of course, but that's not what I was interested in....rather I was interested in gaining more clarity in sound and dialog. Tv sounds great, but music is much better, as well. I listened to what I would guess is a well-produced track on Tidal and it was very good. I wouldn't normally listen to music on this system, as I have other, better-at-making-music equipment, but it's good to know this works so well. I'm very pleased with this purchase!!

Speaker hum
I cannot recommend this amp. I connected RCA from Marantz Cinema 50 to the three channels for my left, right and center speakers. Connected the trigger cables in and out. Plugged into a dedicated plug with the same strip as the receiver. Immediately there is a loud hum, then it reduces to a lower buzz/hum after about 2 seconds coming from the woofers. I tried many different plugs and cables but still the same. Not a good experience. So it will be returned for an Emotiva amp!

NO TRIGGER WIRE…!
Does not come with trigger wire…! I watched an “unboxing” video to see if trigger wire included, I couldn’t find anything in description. Trigger wire was included in the video I watched, but not in my “unboxing”. So, great, now I have to go buy one.

Speaker Hum Solved!
I have the monolith m7100x and have also experienced speaker hum coming out of multiple channels despite trying many different options, even using an art cleanbox pro to connect my rca preamps via XLR with no change in audible hum. Even though my Emotiva bassX 3 channel amp and denon avr-x4500h do not emit a hum in the end I found the hum was coming from my dirty and/or overused circuit, not the amp. Yes, this is a great amp and I will soon get a second one and Im truly sorry if you or anyone else experienced an audible speaker hum as that is a true bummer considering the budget we have for AV equipment some less than others! For example I feel confident a prepro would not exhibit speaker hum but its not in my budget at this time to test. AVRs are more affordable than prepros but they come at a cost. For example I am only using 4 effect channels on my AVR and I blew the output capacitors on them, my m7100x and bassX 3 amp were not impacted!! After trying everything charGPT suggested I was able to come up with a solution to dramatically reduce the speaker hum to the point where it is no longer an it. Please note I’m not an electrician I’m just learning as I go! I found that I was likely overloading my circuit as I have my workstation and home theater entertainment system hooked up to one outlet. As a result I ran a 25ft 0awg extension cord from a different circuit to a power conditioner to drive my 2 amps, AVR, and TV. Using an additional circuit dramatically reduced the hum to the point you have to place your ear on the speaker to hear the remaining hum. Also, the hum only seems to be active when there is no active signal going to my speakers so I honestly don’t think the hum impacts audio quality while you are listening to music or movies. I did a lot of playing around with this amp to make it work as I got the m7100x on sale for $349 on Amazon so it was worth it for me to reduce the hum! Hear is what I tried that didn’t help: the highly praised Emotiva CMX2+ Precision Common Mode AC Line Filter With DC Offset Eliminator and Surge Protection did nothing to reduce the hum. I also tried 2 isolation transformers with high and higher watts with no luck. The pyle rca hum eliminators were also a no go. In fact my pq4 audioquest power conditioner did nothing to reduce the hum, I even tried popular power conditioners from paramax and furman with no luck. And of course during trouble shooting I unplugged everything one at a time to see if anything was causing the hum. What I did find was plugging my laptop directly into my AVR instead if using the dell hub docking station did reduce the hum, but I already had it plugged directly into the AVR. Also, when I plugged these speakers that were causing the hum into my denon and emotiva amp there was zero hum. The hum occurred even when only one speaker was plugged into the monolith amp. In conclusion, using a separate circuit can dramatically reduce the hum coming from this amp, if you even have this problem! And I recommend this amp so much I am buying the m5100x in the near future. And eventually buying a prepro. Please note AVRs, even high end ones, are all in one boxes that emit too much heat, share transformers and don’t have the capability to properly drive all amps. For example my denon amp only outputs 1.2 volts and this amp requires 1.7 volts to operate at max potential. The emotiva only requires about 1.4 volts to fully drive but mine doesn’t have xlr inputs. Using external amps for an avr with preouts is a great way to drive your speakers and reduce strain on your avr and is how I have my dolby atmos elac debut 2.0 setup. This amp may cause a hum in your home theater system but I was able to reduce the hum and I was never able to hear the hum while it was being driven so I don’t think the hum actually impacts audio quality. This amp is great if you’re building an accurate and neutral mid tier system. To me the thought of a $3k 2 channel amp is hilarious because it is way out of my price range. Please note you can always try higher end amps on your system and return them if theres no improvement. Ive tried used adcom amps, anthem amps, b&k amp, crown amp and didn’t like the way any of them sounded compared to a new monolith amp!
