Healthspan NutriCoach® Smart Scales

The app has stopped working so now just a pair of weighing scales... but men down for 3mths

With sadness in my heart, as this is a British product, made in the UK, I have to state that the scales as a product are totally useless, as is the Healthspan App that enables the scales to "supposedly" function. For those interested in purchasing this product, I have this to say to you. I have bought this set of scales 10 days ago, downloaded the App onto my iphone and ipad and proceeded to log into the Online App Interface and made the Hardware and software communicate with each other without any problems. For an hour or so all worked just fine, until I logged out of the Healthspan App on my iphone, and wanted to log back in. This produced an error message, and the same error message appeared on my ipad that never allowed me to log into the App in the first place. Needless to say, my first weighing went OK, produced a set of figures that I expected to get but, since then the scales only produce the same weight every day and no changes. I checked this with a different set of scales and it is apparent that the Healthspan scales simply do not register any changes in weight whatsoever. Immediately after I realised I am unable to log into the Healthspan App, I contacted the company online and in a period of 5 days I spent 3 lengthy sessions speaking with their representatives over the phone and via their chat online interface. Nothing got resolved and all I got back from them in terms of a statement was that "others have experienced the same problem" and that they "will contact their IT people" who will contact me once the problem is resolved. When I asked what is the use of having this piece of hardware when it does nothing that it claims it does, the response was "it gives you standard weight measurement". What else can one say? My advice to everyone? Think twice before buying these scales from any seller!
