Excellent buy, excellent features
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of construction and the ease of use. You can focus easily without shaking the scope. Excellent optics, especially in the lower range. Built-in sun shade is very helpful when viewing on bright, sunny days. The 80mm objective lens collects enough light to allow viewing even at dusk or dawn. It's lightweight and easy to carry in the field. A remarkable spotting scope for the price.

Elevate Your Shooting Experience with This Top-Notch Spotting Scope!
I recently purchased this spotting scope to support my partner while they practice shooting, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! The clarity and sharpness of the images are outstanding, allowing me to easily spot their shots, even at long distances.Setting it up was a breeze, and the adjustable zoom feature provides the perfect level of detail without sacrificing stability. The build quality feels robust, making it ideal for outdoor use. What really impressed me is how user-friendly it is, even for someone who isn’t an expert in optics. I found myself enjoying the experience —being able to see their progress up close made our time at the range so much more rewarding.I wholeheartedly recommend this spotting scope to anyone looking for an excellent way to enhance their shooting experience. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting, this scope will not disappoint!

Initial Review Only plus one field evaluation
This is only my initial impression. Maybe a more quantitative review later after I use it in the field.Overall, I am satisfied. I give the scope a 4 rating at this time, since I have not used the scope in the field yet. I might update the scope rating after field use. Its resolution capability seems commensurate for a scope that is under the $100 dollar price tag. But somewhat unsure if it meets or falls short of expected resolution for an its 80 millimeter collecting optics. But since I can differentiate smaller line pairs on a bar scan label on a can of dog food at about 75 feet, I believe I am good to go for now.It provides clear focused imagery for all magnification settings both near field and far field views. And it has continuous zoom and zoom not set in discrete steps.Color rendition seems good. No test performed other than viewing trees out my house window.Seldom use optics with my glasses on. But eye relief seems to allow me to view with my glasses on, but suspect a bit more eye relief would be nice.I was able to use my S21 phone on the scope with the included phone mount. Anything larger than that may be difficult especially if a larger protective case encloses your phone. An older smaller phone I still have did not seem to integrate well. The phone is gripped by a spring actuated jaw.The one image I acquired with the S21 phone seemed washed out. Have to evaluate acquired phone pictures more later. My guess is phone camera setting may need to be adjusted to match the output of the eye piece of the scope. So failed the plug and play test for digital photography for me at this time. The tripod works for me so far, but already had a slick tripod or two.The front objective lens cap could be snugger for sure have had it fall off.For sure I will use the included bag for trips with the spotting scope.October 16 2024I did take the scope to the field and viewed objects 400 to 500 yards distance. What confuses me is way higher priced scopes at times score similar to this scope. And the more expensive scopes seem to have trouble with eye relief and focus at high magnifications. I am interested in examining the top of the line ED LoveDate scope to see how it fairs? What is strange is the read for the ED optic scope is see the great image you have and not the degradation of none ED scopes which means they are bad mouthing their non ED scopes. Say what, one I purchased? So ED scope got to be better right? Some complain about color fringes on higher priced scopes, not seen that and poor focus at high magnifications. Did not see much issue with the objects at 4 to 5 hundred yards, but did have to experience some heat boil in the image. One object more than the others? Not sure why though? So tempted to up my evaluation score to a 5 reading about others issues with higher priced scopes, but retain the 4 for now, but for me but maybe this product just as good as the ED scope product?December 9 2024I used the subject JoyDate scope in the field looking at mule deer at 200 yards plus. Worked fine. I also had a chance to evaluate a 20-60 x 80 MM objective ED scope. Did not see much difference between the ED scope (about a $150 scope) and the subject JoyDate scope imagery for this review. But the ED scope was way heavier. Suspect the weight will take its toll if hiking. And makes for a top heavy tripod in the field. So I update my rating for the JoyDate scope here to a 5.

Works well at this price point.
I gave it 5 stars simply because of price. I wanted the ability to see my 223 rem bullet holes at 100yds. It does that easily. Money well spent.

This scope offers excellent clarity and stability, making it perfect for outdoor activities.
I recently purchased the Joydate 20-60x80mm spotting scope for plane spotting, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The image quality is outstanding, with very clear views even at higher magnifications. The build quality is exceptional, making it feel sturdy and reliable. The tripod that comes with it is incredibly stable, ensuring that I can comfortably track planes without any wobbling or instability. Overall, for anyone looking for a high-quality scope for outdoor activities, this scope is excellent.

Guild Build Quality, Good Zoom, Clear Optics
I've been using this spotting scope for a few months now and it works great for typical target shooting on a 100yd range. I'm sure it would work great at even greater distances too. Comes with lens covers, a nice carrying bag, tripod, and phone adapter. The phone adapter has worked great because you can even utilize your camera's zoom camera feature to achieve even further distances! Highly recommend as it's a great product, especially for the price.
