It's not bad! The gold finish is a nice tone. The base is heavy and sturdy so it's not top heavy at all. The shade needs to be assembled, too. The shade is a clean plain white and light weight. It's a standard size shade meaning you have the option to use another light weight shade if you choose.Assembly is simple. Just a few pieces of pipe to twist together and attach to the base.Lovely crystal clear cord with a foot switch. Multi color dimmable led bulb is included. It even has a remote control but 2 AAA batteries are not included.Cons: I don't particularly like that the cord does not go all the way through the base. Instead it sit's up and comes out of a hole higher up on the pole. This means the cord is always raised from the floor and potentially easy to trip on. The remote control is a little wonky. There is a long delay from the remote to the bulb, but this is the only way to change the color, temperature and/or dim the light. The included multicolor smart LED bulb gets hot! I've never had an LED bulb get so hot. That's concerning.Apparently it can be used with an app but I haven't tried that. (if the remote control and foot switch are too hard to use?😅)I think I'll be a simpleton and stick to a regular white light bulb and the single foot switch. It's perfect for that!It's a nice stylish contemporary lamp for the price.

I like the floor button function. It’s easier to turn on now. Even my kids can turn it on/off. But they went a bit overboard with the floor button the first time we set this lamp up. The gold plated poles are quite sturdy but like a lot of floor lamps of this style, it tends to lean over a bit. The color change lamp and the remote is a fun bonus but it’s not for me. The smart light bulb is not bright enough for my taste. Until I find another brighter smart light bulb, I’ll be using my normal ones.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a cool modern lamp that arrived, as others have noted, in a damaged box, yet perfectly fine, (phew!). It was rather easy to put together, even the lampshade with the velcro attachment went on rather simply.I received a black lamp, despite thinking I ordered gold, and was actually happier that it was black! It's a nice textured sort of metal and I like it. The step-on button is great, I actually use these on other lamps I own, but this also has a remote which allows all sorts of lighting options!I love the cool / warm light and dimness options and the rgb color feature is a huge plus for when you want some mood lighting! The lamp also has nightlight mode which is a nice feature as well. The included smart bulb also has an app but I haven't tried that yet. And the height is a bit adjustable as well, and the shade can hang straight down or tilt at an angle- a feature on similar lights (ar higher prices!)Be aware it IS an led lamp, and may not be as bright as your typical 60w lamps. It is fairly bright though (brighter than other led lamps I've bought), and the options make it a worthy purchase.

observations + tests + opinion:PROS:+ Lamp is sturdy + easy to assemble. Assembly instruction manual is included.+ Lamp is classy, stylish, height adjustable. Will elevate and compliment most rooms and decors.+ Smart bulb with remote is included! It's amazing with many features. FYI: light must be turned on by pressing a button on the cord near the base before remote control will work. If your remote control doesn't work, try pressing the button on the cord.+ Remote control features (requires 2 AAA batteries not included): 30 minute auto turn off timer button night light mode button warm (yellow), medium (white), cool (grey) light color temp buttons, dimmable, color temps adjustable RGB button: red, yellow, light green, lime green, royal blue, white, purple color choices RGB speed button: 3 speed options for RGB color rotation changes (flashes from one color to next)+ Remote control STRENGTH/RANGE is excellent, works from adjacent rooms & through walls.NEGATIVES:- lamp has a tasteful shimmery gold top coat, underneath is a lighter gold color metal. There was a minor scratch, barely noticeable, which is why I know.- lamp shade is an easy DIY: material attaches to top & bottom hoops with velcro. Took a minute to get it just right. Barely visible unless up close, but shade looked like there was lint on the top + bottom edges. It was fuzz here + there sticking out so I gave it a haircut. Simple fix but shouldn't need to do that.Minor wishes: brighter smart bulb, wish power cord came out of the lamp base instead of out of the bottom of the lamp pole, wish remote came with a cradle/holder to attach to a light switch like the ones provided with ceiling fan remotesNot sure what additional features come with the app, I don't plan to install it, I'm happy with the remote.NOTE: light bulb options I tested: this smart bulb + remote will work in other E26/E27 lamps. Various standard size bulbs (max 60 watt according to manual) will work in this floor lamp. The remote works the smart bulb.SUMMARY: I would order this lamp again. I love the way it looks and functions. The negatives/wishes are minor. This floor lamp with smart bulb + remote is an excellent value at this price. Recommend.

This is a very nice lamp. Works easily with my Alexa and was easy to connect too. It looks so classy sitting in my living room. And super easy to assemble too! I was very impressed with how you put together the shade (if you know you know haha)
