Awesome brake caliper tool for the money
It works perfectly and is built much sturdier than it's competitors in the same price range- it's literally made out of thicker metal than the other choices on Amazon. I use it multiple times a week as a professional mechanic. The ability to turn the screw with a 10mm socket on a battery impact is awesome, saves a lot of time and energy when doing multiple brake jobs in one day. Although, it has a nice sturdy handle and turns smoothly so just turning it by hand works fine too.I also bought the OMT wind-back caliper tool kit and have been very impressed with it as well. OMT is providing a ton of value for the money with their brake tools and it's got me wondering what other tools they make that I might want. Nicely done!

I used everything except the directions
When I ordered this I didn't realize it came with S-hooks and gloves. I'm glad it did because I used everything. The gloves are a bit small, but they were still better than nitrile because they don't break and my hands aren't dripping sweaty when I take them off.I normally use a bungee cord or wire to hang the caliper, but the S-hooks are way better, so bonus there, as well.I would have preferred that the tool had a T-handle instead of the knob. Funny thing: I noticed after I was done that the middle of the handle is a 10mm head, on which I could have used a socket wrench. Next time, I guess...The instructions (which I only looked at after I did my brakes) are pretty dopey; they say to somehow use a C-clamp and then the tool. This makes no sense. I used to use a C-clamp and an old brake pad to compress the caliper piston, before I got this tool. Why would I use a C-clamp if I have this tool?? They also say I should disconnect my car battery. Um...no.I see others use this tool directly on the caliper piston, but I still used an old brake pad. Not sure if it matters.

Decent / inexpensive tool
It's it's definitely not the best brake tool you can buy. But it does the job relatively easily for a very cheap price

This works great and comes with metal hooks
The end of this caliper compressor has a protrusion that you can fit a 10mm socket on, which was very very handy when I was replacing my brakes on my 04 Ram 3500. The metal hooks it came with also were great for holding my calipers out of the way so I could replace the brake pads. I recommend this product!
