Suction cups adhere to the guitar very well.
I prefer the leather suede support so it doesn't slip on my leg. Beats a nylon strap used by some of the other guitar supports I've used.

"great potential"
Suction cup(s) release tabs are not needed as suction fails during use! Initially it works & the concept is great but functionally it fails to maintain a suction, & if it did hold on to guitar body you could not releas suction as the tabs are under the bar, rendering them unaccessaible. It would be a rather easy fix if they simply cast the holes correctly & better quality suction cups, It would be a clever money making design & with suede side down it does hinder leg slippage some.

It works!
I started classical guitar lessons a couple of months ago and my first challenge was how to keep the guitar at the correct angle without having it slide off my leg. My first approach was a cushion which didn't do the trick for me. Then I began looking at some of the really expensive devices, thinking there was no other option. Then I found this one. I didn't expect it to work but it was so inexpensive that I figured it was worth a try. Amazing. It works. The hard part initially was to find just where to attach the suction cups so that I would have the best height and angle. Once found, it stays attached quite well and, if need to remove it (so my guitar will fit in its case), I can mark the guitar lightly to easily reattach it.I should add that putting a piece of rug gripper over my leg first helps the device to stay in place even better than it does on its own. I happened to have a piece at home but it can also be purchased at reasonable cost on Amazon (e.g. Veken offers one similar to what I use for about $10).While professionals may be willing to spend $100+ on a fancier device, this is a very effective and economical option for those of us who want to keep our monetary investment low, at least for the time being.

Good To Have Around
I think this support is a good value for the price. Don't expect something perfect that will never let you down in every situation. It is, however, easy to travel with, and works well for practice on the road and at home. I keep mine upstairs with my second guitar so I can pick it up and play when I have free moments during the day. I also take it with me for practice on the road when traveling.

Best support I've tried!
This is fabulous. Only have had it for about a month but so far so good. It works perfectly, is super adjustable, very comfortable, and I love how it folds in - makes it so easy to hang, put in bag, etc. Not bulky like others and super affordable. I'm kind of shocked actually. It's allowed me to play a lot more frequently and for longer as I have some neck/back issues that prevent me from using a footstool and the other supports didn't really add comfort.

Suction cups don't really work
Great concept, looks good, but I can't get the suction cups to stay attached to the guitar for the life of me... it's not much use if the suction cups don't work.

Read before you buy (very slippery on polished guitars)
This frame slips a lot especially on my guitar. I would use heap loads of tape and it still wouldn’t hold for more than 4 days at max. If you have a non polished guitar I could recommend.

Didn’t work easily.
It didn’t provide enough stability while playing.
