Great addition to kitchen arsenal.
Fantastic for cooking those “sure to boil over” foods, like potatoes. No more burned rice because of the great temperature control.

Like the features that my old one did not have.
Still using my old unit. Like the new one's added features. This unit is smaller and will use it in my RV. Can use it like a crock pot base with the low temp and timer settings.

Worked perfectly.
I got this today used it right away. I am very happy with the features. I made chicken soup something I usually make in the crock pot. My crock pot cracked and I did not want another one. This is so versatile takes up less space accurately temp control. The timer function is great. The fan is a little loud. I tried all the watt settings worked wonderfully.

Great product a must have
This Nuwave is great for cooking food that requires various temperatures for cooking, like going from a boil to a simmer very quickly, take oatmeal for example, if you can’t drop the temperature quickly when adding the oatmeal it will overspill, but with this Nuwave it’s very simple to do, great product. I like it better than my gas stove. I bought it for temporary use while doing a kitchen remodel but I’m keeping it for every day use

Works fine, but very short power cord
Just got it and tested it today. The controls on the panel are easy to use and understand. The only thing that made me knock it down from 5 stars to 4 is that the power cord is very short; not even 4 feet. Why can't they at least put a 5' or 6' cord on this thing. That said, I have a short 3' power strip laying around that says it's rated to 1800W, even though the wire is 16AWG. The NuWave's cord is 14AWG. Anyway, I did a test boiling water on the high setting with a covered induction compatible saucepan without the extension cord, and it never even got warm. Then I plugged it into the extension cord and did the same test. The time to boil was the same either way, and neither the power cord nor the extension cord got warm--not even hot. So on balance, I wind up with 6' which I need for its intended use--in a popup camper.

Read the directions!
We use this more than I thought. We bought it to cook while camping but enjoy using it so much that we use it at home too. It looks great and is so simple to use and clean. The unit hests up so quickly that you can cook your meal faster. The fan inside is not loud so you can converse without raising you voice. READ THE MANUAL BEFORE USE! Others say it doesn't work and show a video of them using it improperly. If... you can follow directions there are no issues.

It either suffers from poor design or poor quality.
Bought this because I was on the road working lots of hours. Unfortunately didn't get it tested properly within the return window or it would have been sent back. After that, with working 60 hour weeks on a construction site, I never really had time to mess with the warranty service.Main issue was that it would race wildly up to a temperature well above where it was set before settling back down. Great is you're just boiling water, not so great if you're trying to cook with any finesse. The simple act of frying an egg was out of the question. Set it at 300℉ and it would race up to 425°. Eventually it would settle back down but I'm not going to stand there with an IR thermometer constantly checking for when it's ready only for it to take off again before the food has had time to cook.Ultimately don't know if the lack of proper temperature control is a design flaw or a manufacturing defect. The sheer number of refurbs being sold though should have registered as a warning to avoid this unit. Ultimately however, abandoned it during my last move and just wrote it off as a bad experience.
