The Hitchhiker's Guide to Mars: Elon Musk and the 42 Principles for Life Paperback – June 7, 2023

I should start off by saying I am probably not the target audience for this book...a little on the older side and just not a whole lot of knowledge about Elon Musk other than what most know....he's a genius but controversial. A friend told me about this book and I was still skeptical...until I started reading. The material was so interesting and applicable that I finished it in practically one sitting. It was fascinating to get inside the head of a genius and then learn how to apply some of Musk's principles to your own life. Moderie made the material accessible and his research is exhaustive. Much of the book is quotes from Musk himself, which really adds a human element to someone most of us view as other-worldly. I admire that Musk is walking the walk, and I admire Moderie for authoring such a fascinating and useful book. I probably won't incorporate all 42 principles, but even a few might make a difference. And I'm now following both Musk and Moderie on twitter :)

This is an excellent read in order to glimpse inside the mind of Musk's thoughts and philosophies.

I found this book wonderfully organized and thorough. The time and research conducted is incredible and helps us all to gain insight into one of the most influential people of our time. I believe this book will help to inspire anyone looking to make this world a better place.

What I loved about this book is the structure. I could take a brief amount of time, read a concept and a quote, and then have an application for real life. This reminded me of some of the best college courses I have taken, and much like those courses it is there for you to learn, take in an idea, and digest it for yourself. You don't have to get through any crap to start, it is just concept and application. I love that, because you can truly take something away.I would actually love to see this become a genre, I would enjoy this format from everyone from Thomas Jefferson to Nikola Tesla. This is worthy buying, and even more worth reading.

This book was so enlightening. It changed my opinion of Elon Musk. He may do more for humankind than anyone in history. Looking forward to Moderie's next project.

(or a bonus book using all recommendations and sources in the book. Lots to keep reading and learning if you pull the plenty of threads ;)
