Well laid and useful information

This is one of the most beautifully and clearly illustrated nature guides I have. I have started with another highly regarded excellent field-guide, but when I found that to be a bit too small and not as informative as I would have liked, I ordered this one as well.Although an exhaustive field-guide, the content, structure and layout are useful for beginners, experts alike. The descriptions are not only informative but are also interesting, with behavioural characteristics, age/sex/geographical variations and life-span data. A very generously illustrated guide, the photos and illustrations are stunning. This guide is a pleasure to open and to read.
