Good supplement to support my weightlifting, but zero information about the company who makes them
I ordered this supplement to try it for support of weightlifting, and it has been good so far even though I can't say that I've had any major breakthroughs. The four capsules are large but I've had no issue swallowing them. What I'm a little uncertain about is the company (and US-based lab) behind the supplement. I'm always wary of ordering supplements, especially when it isn't clear where they are produced. In this case, the bottle states that it's made in the US and that could very well be the case, but Bioactive Labs is just a brand slapped on to the bottle and it's not really clear what facility is producing for them. The website contains no information other than an address for a mailbox, so that part is a little sketchy.

Bioactive Labs Essential Amino Acids Complex, with All 9 BCAAs - 240 Capsules
This is a set of 2 bottles, each containing 120 capsules. Each bottle has a clear plastic seal around the outside of the lid, and a paper seal across the mouth of the bottle inside the lid. The graphic design of the label is professional-looking and attractive, with its colorful hexagons on a black background. The label says that the product is "Made In USA" from "Global Ingredients" (or, in another place on the label, "With Premium Global Materials"). The product page also adds that it is made in a GMP-compliant facility (as all facilities located in the USA should be). Its label includes an Amazon-specific barcode. The bottles I received in July 2023 have an expiration date of May 2025, printed on the bottom. The suggested dosage is 4 capsules per day, which provides a total of about 3 grams of the mixture of BCAAs, so each capsule holds 750 mg (0.75g x 4 = 3g). At that dosage, each bottle lasts 30 days (1 month).Although the product is labeled as being vegan and gluten-free, there is also an extensive list of allergen concerns due to their choice of contracted manufacturing facility: "Produced in a facility that also processes soy, fish, shellfish, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, eggs, and sesame." I've been using quite a few different supplements from a variety of brands for many years, and never seen any others that needed to warn about more than one or two potential allergens like that. I don't personally have any of those allergies, but it will prevent a substantial amount of people from being able to use this product, including the people who are most in need of that "gluten-free" designation because they're allergic to wheat. The company name is specified as "Bioactive Labs LLC" in the label fine print, but I wasn't currently able to find any records of an LLC officially registered with that name, The BioactiveLabs Co site mentioned on the label is currently very minimal/vague, with nothing specific that can be learned about the company or its products; just the same Delaware address that is also stated on the bottle label. That address appears to be a rented mailbox at a shipping store, which provides 'digital' mailbox services (scanning/forwarding) so that mail can be received without anyone in the company ever being in Delaware. Meanwhile, the Bioactive Labs Amazon presence currently says it belongs to a UK company called Lewis Hill Retail Limited. None of that company's registered officers live in England (where its 'correspondence address' is), though one lives in Wales (a different country, but part of the UK); the others live elsewhere in Europe.I know many Amazon-only supplement companies are small businesses, but this is an unusually non-transparent situation for me to find from one that had initially looked professional enough for me to want to order from. I expect that their US contracted manufacturer included the advertised ingredients in the product regardless, but personally I'd want to see a much more informative/forthcoming company website before buying more from them.
