Gillette Vector Razor with Blade Fits Contour/Atra Refill Cartridge

I bought the Gillette Wet razor to replace a Gillette metal razor I have used for over 50 years. This razor is lighter and feels very good. The 2nd reason was I prefer just 2 blades rather than the multi blades sold these days, I find 2 blades last longer too.

Good for diehards who want to still use G II blades

Not compatible with gillette sensor as stated

The mechanism of the handle was faulty from the offset. I pressed the button to release the blade cartridge, to test it worked. Having released the blade, the jaws of the mechanism locked inwards, no matter how hard I press the button. So I can't attach the cartridge to the handle, rendering it useless. And I haven't even used it. And I can't return it for a refund as it is exempt. Utter rubbish.

I have been looking for a no-frill, re-usable double bladed razor for a while - I cant be bothered (or afford) these 4, 5, 6 or more bladed systems where a pack of 4 cartridges costs almost the same a small family hatchback. I used to have a Gillette Contour Plus razor back in the day and was hopeful that this product lived up to the description that it accepts those cartridges. I'm pleased to confirm it does take Contour blades without any problem at all.I can now have a comfortable shave again without spending a small fortune. The only very minor niggle is that it doesn't come with a stand/holder like the old Contour Plus used to (the grey plastic tray that used to hold the blades underneath).

Saved me having to buy anew Razor with matching blades.
