This hardware is all metal, smooth functioning and should last a good long time.Four enclosed screws attach the mount to the wall. One of them stripped out and I needed to replace with one from my own inventory. Interesting that they also include drywall anchors as an installation option - I DEFINITELY would not try that - you should only attach this to something solid. The neck is adjustable, horizontal to straight-up vertical; I tend to prefer a simple 45* a mount like this, but plenty of flexibility for whatever you want; it's super easy to adjust that angle at any time.The thumb screw to keep your pole secure works well. And there is a tiny little weep hole at the bottom to allow water to (mostly) drain our, but that's going to clog quickly so I will probably drill it out larger at some later date.As advertised and (other than the cheap installation screws), completely satisfied.

It is well made, has a drain for water that gets in, and seems to be a high quality durable product. Only reason why I took off a star is because you can't adjust the position of it without removing the lug nut screw and then putting it back in, which is a pain. But otherwise it's good.

Our old flagpole set up was pretty much falling apart so I decided to pitch the entire thing and start over. One item that certainly needed an upgrade was the flagpole bracket.This one is a much better design than both the one we previously had as well as the new ones from the big box stores. This bracket is made of sturdy cast aluminum and is adjustable to fit 1" and smaller flag poles with an adjustable side screw that can be used to lock it in. The adjuster is 2 pieces with multiple teeth that interconnect and are held together by a bolt tightened with a wing nut. Other designs I've found at the big box stores do not have the full plates that connect, rather they have one single adjusting tooth that works in a similar fashion. In my opinion, the one from the big box store seems like a much weaker design.So far, I've had this one mounted on my house for 2 days. I've attached a 3x5 foot flag and have been flying it constantly in 20-30 mph winds. The only issue I've found so far is that the wingnut seems to want to work loose on the adjuster. To fix this, I will probably either add a lock washer under the wing nut or some blue locktite to the bolt to prevent the nut from working loose again. In the meantime, I just check it once in a while to keep it tight.Overall, I feel this is a strong, well designed bracket. In my mind, it's a much better alternative to the plastic or metal brackets currently found in the big box stores. For the money, you really can't beat it.
