The best 3D Printer to start with.
The media could not be loaded. Hello all,Like many I did get a 3D Printer before this one.. I got a Tronxy X5SA 2020 upgraded Model.Although I been having leveling issues wit ta printer as the bed is so big!So while sorted out that, I still needed to carry on doing this great new Hobby. So I saved up and was going to buy the much praised Creality Ender 3 V2 printer. Then I was looking through 3D printer unboxing and review videos and saw a printer that was totally loved by 4 you tube channels of 3D printing! All of these guys had brought and unboxed and built and tested this Voxelab Aquila 3D Printer. They all said what a great printer for the money it is a clone of the Creality Ender 3 V2.Just a different control screen ( nice one ) It was the same size and build, But here's the amazing thing! It was £87.00p cheaper than the Ender 3 V2. Did the same printing. All I can say is, this must be the best priced best quality 3D printer for the money.I was shocked how amazing this printer prints the models and items! It truly fantastic, the on you tube build guide by Voxelab is clear, detailed and very helpful indeed.I had the printer built in about 1 hour. It really helps that the printer comes about 70% built already. You just follow the guide on their video and I would say even a full newbie at building these will have it made easy. All the printer parts are very high quality and even the separate plastic bags with the bolts and parts are the best possible all nice and strong and just great, All those bags have clear written English labels that you can find each needed screw or bolt or small part with ease. And after the printer is built you will find the leveling of the bed to be so easy. There is a video how to do that and how to print the 1st test print.Once the level is done the test print( I did the hook on their micro sd card ) Was a joy to watch being printed. The test print was done in a few minutes in the included red see through PLA sample filament.I can hardly put into words how amazing and super value this printer is!As long as you make sure that once every 3 prints you check the level of the bed is still fine and if need e just adjust it as shown on the companies videos you be fine!I used the warning card found on the top of the 1st foam layer in the box. It just warns people to make sure the power is set to UK setting > 230 volts and not the euro or American one o 115 volts. It was set to the UK one though. This piece of semi tick warning card is the perfect thickness to do your ed leveling with!I even printed PET-G filament for the 1st ever time, I never managed to do so on my other printer! But after making sure the bed was leveled right and setting up the nozzle hot end to be 250 C and the Bed set to 80 C which is the high end of the filament box stated for printing it, I watched it print smoothly and very well. PLA is strong everyday type of filament but PET-G is rated for use outside as it is a super tough and UV resistant. Normally you need a printer heat holding in encloser around the printer to do AB or PET-G due to them being affected by drafts and heat not being kept up on the printer bed? This printer did PET-G printing without a encloser, that is amazing.I included the box unpacking I did showing the layers of good foam that protects the printer parts. And a short video of the red PLA test hook I printed just so you see it?As many other reviewers have said, this is a bargain price for a printer which is £87.00p cheaper than the Creality Ender 3 V2 printer,I can only say that if you wish to start doing this amazing hobby and worry about how hard building a 3D print will and using it?Then this great value easy build and use 3D printer is for you.8 )

Excellent starter printer!
I bought the C2 on sale for £110, so that's my price point.I've never had a 3d printer before and for that price thought "what's the worst that can happen". I'm often tinkering with various bikes and other big boys toys and a little printer is a brilliant addition to my fabrication adventures! The printer itself is fairly easy to build if you're handy with a set of screwdrivers. The manual is a bit light on detail but combined with on on the numerous videos on YouTube, takes about an hour. Once built, using the preloaded models with the PLA in the box is enough to get going and I was surprised with the results. The models were as good as any quality you'd find on Etsy or similar. Some tips from my experience:- If the PLA won't stick to the bed, use a good quality painters tape over the bed, and press it down firmly! Others swear by hairspray or glue, but the painters tape has worked 100% of the time for me so far, and it isn't as messy.- Level the bed properly and spend some time adjusting it ever few prints. Get a feeler gauge if you're feeling flush.- Useful software, Tinkercad is a basic website for making your own models (I've used it to make custom mounts and brackets). Thingiverse is a great website for finding models to print. Voxelab is the stock software for creating your printable files. All basic, but great to start. The SD card reader in the box is a bit crap, but they're only a couple of quid to replace. If I run into any wear issues, I'll update but so far so good. Well worth the money and I'm very impressed so far.

Expensive proprietary printer
Its a decent printer, but the replacement parts are expensive. Whilst this is aimed for business use, If you have an on-site engineer you'd be far better off with going with a more open moddable printer, as replacement parts will be cheaper. There are several glaring problems which haven't recieved updates and I don't think they ever will be.Opening the control panel on the slicer whilst the printer is bed leveling will cause it to forget the extruders position and may try to push it past the end limit. Half of the control panel functionality doesn't work (extrusion control etc). Wifi cuts out after a few prints, after 1-2 prints the wifi becomes extremely slow (~4kb/s) making it quicker to just switch the printer off and on again, which makes the wifi near useless. The proprietary slicer is okay, though not even close to Cura.

Good budget printer
So far so good! Gave this to my son for xmas, we set it up made extra sure the bed was as level as we could get it and the test print went great! The manual is a little hard to understand sometimes. It's definitely translated from a foreign language and the amount of filament the machine comes with is pretty disappointing. But we printed the test print, then downloaded a file from thingverse and used the included software to slice it and it's currently printing that flawlessly so far. I wouldn't hesitate to pick one of these up if you are looking for your first 3d printer. So far it has been a excellent experience for us!

Great quality/price 3D printer
Great quality/price 3D printer. Especially when you get it at 250$ CAD in sale like I did.Definitively need to upgrade to Alex’s firmware for the manual mesh leveling if you want a good bed adhesion. In my case at least because the bed came too much curved.Great technical support !I’d recommande it for sure.

Amazing, just buy it
So this is my second, and third printer. I liked it so much I bought two. I started with another less popular brand and was troubleshooting more than I was printing.I haven't had that issue so far with these.Assembly is relatively easy if you can follow instructions, and once it's leveled to the bed it'll print without any tuning out of the box. Ive installed a bltouch with 5x5 bed leveling and it prints perfect models. The fans are QUIET and I could and have sleep in the same room with them on. I recommend upgrading the extruder and Bowden tubes as they're just such great cheap upgrades to better print quality.I did have one minor issue with a thermistor on my second printer today and support got back to me within a few hours. They sent me a new one within a day. Im still waiting on support for the other branded printer im sending back.I haven't had this much fun in a long time and this printer makes it easy to set up and get right to it. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone just starting out as the assembly will help you learn about the different components of the machine and how they work well enough to start you out printing successfully. I also highly recommend this as a second machine.TIPSIf you find difficulty leveling the bed because of loose springs, you can lower the z switch and adjust accordingly.Preheat the bed before leveling.Ammonia free Windex works wonders between prints to make PLA stick. A light spray of aqua net extra strength hair spray will make PETG stick every time.My only complaint is the pneumatic couplings preinstalled are kinda meh quality, but it's not hard or expensive to replace.Have PLENTY of nozzles handy if you do a lot of printing. Consider them a consumable, and throw the old ones away.Have patience. Sometimes you may just need to clean out the hot end or a new nozzle if it's not printing properly.Bed leveling should be done above each of the 4 springs and should JUST start to grab on to your paper on all 4 springs. I use a page from the instruction manual.

Good purchase for reasonable price tag
The media could not be loaded. This printer was so easy to put together. Everything was labeled very nicely and easy to read and understand. New users or beginners starting out in the hobbie should have no problems assembling. I used cura as my slicer with stock settings and this is my first print on the aquila. I am new to the glass bed but am excited to tune the settings in to this printer. Great print quality for first print can only get better from here!
