Just wanted a low priced lamp with a solid base and spotted this one which seemed ok. Wasn't too sure about the cut out design.but the lamp was only to brighten a dark corner by the stairs so thought it was worth giving it a go. It's actually a really nice modern looking lamp that I am very happy with. It gives off a good light and the cut out pattern makes the lamp look more attractive than a plain shade would do. A great buy.

The light bulb is E27.The lamp top is made of metal and the bast from wood.The cable has a on of button and it is good quality.The light creates beautiful shadows on the walls.I definitely recommend.

This lamp is stylish and functional. It comes with a LED lightbulb that can be easily replaced should you need to. It offers a nice warm light and the patterned holes in the metal shade give off a nice pattern on the walls.It is a good quality (wooden base, metal shade) but I feel it is more expensive than I would want to pay normally for 1 lamp.

This lamp is well made and the supplied bulb is very bright. However, I find that the lampshade casts lots of hard, busy shadows that would make it bad as a reading light. I don’t like to have the lamp in my line-of-sight because the gaps in the shade means the light comes straight through, unfiltered and is somewhat unpleasant.It's perfectly fine as a decorative lamp or to add some background light to a room.The comes with a metal shade (painted white) and a wooden base. There is a foam pad on the base which adds some grip and prevents it from damaging furniture.The bulb is a warm white colour, so is perfect for use at night. It comes with a T45, LED bulb. The bulb design is quite unique, it resembles an old-fashioned bulb.LED bulbs are very durable, so will last a long time (years) before needing replacing. I tested and a standard E27 LED can be used in this lamp and replacement bulbs can be picked up at supermarkets.In the product photos, it gives the impression that the switch is located near the plug rather than near the lamp. This is an error in the photo. The switch is near the lamp and about 50cm away from the base of the lamp.UPDATE:To make the lamp more usable, I made a “sleeve” for the lampshade using Chinese rice paper. It diffused the light, making it much more pleasant to look at and muting the busy shadows. I attached a photo of the before and after. It's an easy modification that I think greatly improved the function and aesthetics of the lamp.

This lamp is surprisingly good quality, I was expecting something a little flimsy (particularly the shade), but far from it, this really is a well built lamp that looks the part, and performs above expectation.The solid metal shade fits very well, matching the wooden base in fine style. It is great to have an energy efficient LED bulb included as well (and it is a good one), and as this is visible through the shade it was important that it matched the quality of the rest of the lamp, which it indeed does.When switched on the light does emit good light and a pleasant pattern, which adds to ambience, so in summary this is a great quality, sturdy lamp making for an excellent purchase.

The lamp has a loose connection somewhere and I have no way of contacting the seller as the return window has closed. Didn’t use it straight away as was a gift for my daughter. Not even sure it’s safe now with a loose connection

I love this lamp! We have put it on the windowsill in the reception room and it looks really pretty in the evening. I was pleased to see they include the bulb too, as many lamps don't. The quality of this lamp is great too with its metal shade that doesn't look or feel flimsy in any way. On/off is the usual switch on the wire which is fairly high up, which I prefer.Price-wise I think this is perfectly reasonable and I'd have no problem recommending it. 5/5
