Not as tough as it looks.
I have used Spigen products for my phones in the past and always had good experiences but not so this time. I bought this case because of my previous experience with the brand and it appeared to be “tough”. I installed the case which is two parts and everything snaps into place and looks great. Unfortunately the very first day, less than 2 hours into it the day the hard face part that firmly snapped into place was gone. It fell off somewhere and I couldn’t find it. I never hit my arm onto anything, damaged the watch, anything. Hard part was just gone.

Does it’s job. Cover falls off constantly, though.
This case was very easy to put on and fit well. The rubber case has done a good job protecting the watch. The plastic part of the case is a little bulkier than I wanted, but it does a very good job at protecting the screen. The plastic being slightly higher than the screen saved a lot of potential problems from my watch hitting something. The only problem I have is that the plastic part falls off constantly. I was able to notice it the first couple of times and find the cover again. I eventually lost the plastic part when it fell off. I do a lot of outdoor work, yard work, hiking, and sports and this case has done a good job protecting the watch. I’m really dissappointed I lost the plastic part though. That was the main piece protecting the most important part of the watch. I will update my post if I am able to find a way to get another cover and secure it better.

BEST CASE I’VE TRIED...BULKY BUT WELL WORTH THE TRADE!
I’m EXTREMELY picky about the quality of the craftsmanship of the products I buy so I can be reassured the they’ll last and serve their purpose. So far this Spigen Tough Armor Case has exceeded my expectations! I found it extremely easy to put on. I just want to note to customers to make sure you push the top into place until it’s flush with the rubber base and has clipped into place. I say that just because I was sort of skeptical about buying this because I’d noticed reviews saying that the top part had either not secured or fallen off without them noticing. I can say with confidence based on my experience if properly clipped in this case is extremely secure! I’ve also removed it several times to go swimming and found it equally simple to remove. I invested in this $500 watch specifically for it’s functions, and even with the added bulk I still feel it’s stylish. The thing that really makes this four stars is that all of the cuts for mics and speakers are perfect unlike other cases I’ve purchased. I can make calls and the microphones and speakers are cut well enough to where people can hear me with my arms at my side or while performing other tasks with my hands as Apple intended. I don’t have awkwardly hold the watch up towards my face to talk to people as I have with other cases/bands. The only sacrifice I’ve had to make with this case is full access to the dial...I can still use it but the cuts that protect it also limit ability to make a full rotation, but I’m paying for protection so that’s a fair trade. I’ve got some stylish bands for going out and some of them look as cool if not cooler with the bulky case. I’ve owned it for over a week and am a clutsy person and this case combined with my screen protector(which is a must have) it’s saved my watch from hits and bumps what would’ve probably damaged it. As I stated previously it doesn’t protect the screen itself so should you hit a corner or something that directly hits the screen at an angle you might get damage so a screen protector it a good investment for something you paid hundreds of dollars for. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase and feel confident it will protect my watch well! I’ll update the review after some more time with the case to let you know how it holds up after a few months.

Plenty of protection without a bulky feel. Highly recommend.
This a first impression review as I’ve only had this case for a day. It fits perfectly and doesn’t jam up the wheel on my watch like some other brands I tried. Seems to made quite well, it feels sturdy and I was happily surprised when snapping the plastic portion onto the toy portion. On every other 2 piece case (Part rubber part plastic) that I’ve ever had for any device, they never have the firm “snap together” feel, but this case did so and as I stated I was pleasantly surprised with that. It also surprisingly does NOT make my watch feel bulky or large which was something I was curious about, though I would’ve dealt with it based on the level of protection I was looking for. As an added bonus I received an email from the company asking if my order was ok, because I guess they’ve been having some issues with “deliverymen tossing around packages”. While my package was a day late (though I imagine that has to do with the carrier and not Spigen) it did show up in good shape. The box looked fine, and the product was completely fine. So far very happy. I will come back at a later date and post an update regarding how this product does with longevity. I’d definitely recommend.

Works great on my 42mm series 3 with glass screen protector
I have had it on all of 1 day so far, and it is great. I work with my hands a lot and with this case I am not afraid of bumping my watch on things and scratching or cracking it as easily.I am also using a tempered glass screen protector, which as some others mention actually IMPROVES the fit of this case.Without the screen protector I felt like the case was a little loose on the watch, but the plastic snapped in more securely. With the screen protector (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C7YLZJ7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) the case fits a little more snug on the watch, but when you go to place the plastic frame on top, I didnt feel a satisfying "click" as it snapped into place, it just kind of fit into place. I have tried to see if it could be knocked off or pulled off easy, and it does not (so far atleast).Highly recommend this case + a screen protector for your watch.

Wish I had bought it earlier
I have only had this item a few days so I can’t rate durability. It is exactly what I expected. For some reason the 38mm item is always depicted in two halves but then 42mm only one item but it is the same design. Hopefully it is also obvious that there is no actual screen glass/cover- the face of your watch is still exposed albeit less likely to be impacted.I bought this item after my unprotected watch took a heavy impact and the screen broke almost cleanly away from the watch. Having glued it back in place, I am using this protector to not only reduce risk of further damage but also to prevent the screen coming away from the watch.Based on the impact that damaged my watch, I am certain this product would have prevented it.A new glass is £150 and fiddly to fit. If I repaired mine Apple would give me £106 for it. So I think either buy cover or buy this protector before you damage it.

At last, the right watch case!
I've tried several Apple Watch cases to date. I tried the ones with built in screen protectors but they just steamed up when exercising, which means removing and cleaning all the time. PLEASE NOTE THIS DOES NOT HAVE A SCREEN PROTECTOR BUILT IN!!! I even bought a similar one from the same company Spigen which was pretty good but fiddly to put on and for me didn't look as good (it will be a useful back up though). This one was a revelation and it fits perfectly over an existing tempered glass screen protector. This case is in 2 parts, the soft rubber main body, which is easily fitted by removing the watch strap and then the decorative upper hard plastic piece. This clips on to the softer rubber body and adds some 'steel' and looks FANTASTIC. I will be ordering the gold version soon. It really does make the watch look smart and gives you the added protection and peace of mind knowing your £350 watch won't get ruined by bumps and knocks.

Absolutely perfect!
This fits around the whole watch, including the edges, but has no actual screen surface protector. This is good, because you can fit a tempered glass screen protector, which type doesn’t fit round the curved edges anyway. To fit this ‘case’, you have to remove the watch strap. I didn’t want to do this, so I hit on a brilliant trick:-I cut the black rubbery case in the middle of the top and bottom. It then fitted easily round the watch, without removing the strap. When I clipped on the coloured upper trim, it holds the case together round the watch perfectly.Don’t blame me if you try this and screw up.It just worked for me perfectly.UPDATE:- these are so good; I’m using my third - the others having been wrecked whilst successfully protecting my Apple Watch from severe damage at work. Without them, I’d be on my 3rd watch - rather more expensive.

Give this one a miss
I bought one for my Iwatch 3 and it was Awsome. Unfortunately on this occasion I am not happy. I bought a iwatch 5 44mm. The clips keep slipping which means you constantly have to reclip it. Because the clips keep slipping means that my screen protector has to be replaced, I have gone through 8 screen protectors. Really not happy due to the financial costs and disappointment of knowing that Spigen can make a better product.

Update:Worth every penny
Bought as a replacement for the first generation tough armour case that perished after three years. Upon removal of the old one I realised there was minimal dust ingression and the watch itself was very well protected. This one is the second generation and seems to be better engineered than the previous one. I have done a lot of DIY and hence the paint marks. They come not easily as well.
