Ultimate Direction Wink Pack

I was torn between this one and the UD Vesta. I went with this one because my friend got the other and I figure I can try them both! The main think i like about his one more than the Vesta is that the hydration refill is from the top and not the side. This will come in handy on my longer trail races because I won't have to take the whole bladder out. It is also perfect for me because it has a big enough pocket for my iPhone 6 Plus. The only thing I do not like about the bladder is the taste of water is gross and plastic. I don't notice it at all with Gatorade, but water is just nasty and it makes me not want to drink at all. However, I'm still giving 5 stars because the only time I'm wearing this pack is longer runs where I typically take Gatorade/Scratch/Tailwind. I have also been able to wear this pack with a tank top and there was no chaffing from the straps.

I have been running with a UD Wasp for many years and it has been awesome - starting to get a bit grungy so figured an update was in order. Since Wink is the "female" version of the Wasp, I thought it would be the way to go. Can't begin to describe my disappointment in this vest. The top front strap is way to far up (not sure why it is not adjustable??) - it was OK without a full bladder, but once the bladder was in it literally cut right across my throat. Same around the neck, super tight - I can just imagine the chaffing I would get after a few hours of it rubbing. For reference, my neck measures about 15 inches. For some reason there is one large stash pocket in the front and one tiny - the tiny one would drive me crazy. I am also not sure where the mouth piece is supposed to go and where are the nice Velcro Trekking pole straps the WASP has? Super disappointed in this design.

I'm 5'2 and this fits comfortably and is big enough for everything I need on long training runs and during ultramarathons. Lots of pockets and room for more than enough hydration in the pack. After filling the bladder, tip it upside down and suck out the extra air and you will have no bouncing or sloshing at all. I've worn it now for a full year and am so glad I have it.

LOVE it. :) That sums it up. I bought it for my trip to AZ this summer, knowing that I'd need the extra capacity for my runs in the desert. This pack did not disappoint. Fit is great - lots of room for adjustment. There is plenty of room for storage of items like keys, phone, snacks, etc. The pack didn't bounce at all, and felt very light even when the large bladder was full. To top it off, I just love the color. Great deal!

I am 5'2'' and 125lbs and this pack is way too small. The top strap is choking when clipped, and if I don't use it then it bounces. I let the company know, actually thinking that the pack was defective. I sent pictures of the fitting and the actual pack. Ultimate Direction would not take the pack back, nor stand by their product. Many other outdoor companies would stand by a defective product. UD did offer 25% off another purchase, but since I also bought one for my husband and the clip came off the first time he used it- I do not think we will by another UD pack again. Not worth the money and company will not stand by their product.

Best hydration pack EVER! I added the silicone pouch for electrolyte drink. Plenty of room for a jacket and snacks even with a full hydration bladder. Fits me perfectly! The only recommendation I have for future models is to add a sewn-in ribbon with clasp to attach keys.

Love it. Have used it skiing & trail running long distances 20+ miles. Comfortable. Pockets easily accessible. Water bladder (included) opens wide at the top & hose is removable even when bladder is full of water. Zip pocket on R front is large enough for an iPhone.

Note: have friends who can help you adjust all the nuances and you can get a really great fitting water system!

後ろのスピンドル部分にジャケットを突っ込んだり、ポールも1本なら付けれるので重宝しています。付属のハイドレーションは走っているとチューブが落ちやすいので工夫が必要。拡張性はないが、行動食、軽い着替えははいります。前ポケット部分、500ｍｌフラスクははいりません。350ｍｌでギリギリです。
