Weight training balls are durable good for batting practice

Fresh out the box they definitely look high quality. Gonna see how they hold up with a 15u baseball team. These are far and away worth the money so far.

I am a pitching coach and I bought these for my pitchers to throw in to a brick wall. They are great for drills and to get lots of work down in a small window of time. It also came with a variety of weights. The only thing is I wish they made them in a softball size as well.

I got these weighted balls from Superiornet not for softball practice but for throwing with my dogs. Hear me out - I have had a hard time finding durable balls to play with my pups. Most of the balls labeled as "dog" specific balls are too easily chewed up and don't last very long. These weighted balls have been great! It hasn't mattered how much my pups have chewed the balls still look exactly the same. I have kept a close eye on them so that if a hole happens I can pick up the ball before the iron sand spills out of the inside (also, I want to be certain my dogs do not ingest any of this), but so far, these balls still look brand new. I suspected they would be fairly strong since they are built for being smacked by a bat and these balls do not disappoint! As a side note, these do not bounce and move like the typical balls my dogs are accustomed to which has made our fetch sessions all the more interesting.

This set of training baseballs works well for younger players hitting from a tee. They vary in mass from 100 grams up to 580 grams, and they travel far less than a typical baseball, which is roughly 150 grams. Solid contact with the heaviest ball yielded a 40 foot rolling distance, and the lightest baseball travelled about 120 feet when struck. The moment of rotational inertia of these sand-filled practice baseballs allows them to roll less and come to a complete stop sooner than a standard baseball. If you have a small group of players practicing, these allow you to quickly gather the cluster and hit off the tee again in a shorter timespan.They seem very durable, but of course it is difficult to gauge how long they will last after a few short hitting sessions. They definitely enhance baseball hitting sessions compared to standard baseballs, though.

As an avid softball player for 3/4 of my 45 years I can attest to just how helpful these are! I would use the heaviest one I had on hand while practicing prior to a game and it was the perfect way to warm up my arm. I had my doubts that these would live up to the quality of the ones I put to the dirt my share of times, for years. So far, they have! I also love that there are 6 different weights so you can progress up to the heaviest one. My boys can also use them to warm up for baseball. Therefore.... 5 stars it is!! :-)
