good product
This hub works well and comes in at a good pricepoint. Just know it has a larger footprint than other more pricey and petite varieties of USB hubs. Quite honestly the on/off feature seems a bit useless but that's just an elderly guy's observation: if your plugged in you're needing to be plugged in!!! I recommend it at the decent pricepoint it sells for.

I was so excited to buy this item as a gift. It NEVER WORKED. Awful

Stopped working for no apparent reason.
Cost 20% less than another brand I previously bought that worked well. I needed second one and this one looked identical, so I got this brand instead. It worked well for about 3 weeks, then got flaky, then stopped working altogether the day before the 30-day return window expired. So, after going through the vendor's troubleshooting pathway, I returned it. The basic idea is good, but judging by the number of negative reviews complaining of similar behavior, I suspect that there are quality control issues with this product.

Solved my problem. I like being able to on/off the port. Thanks

Good but not for my purpose
One of the reasons I Bought this was to connect my wireless headphones to my ps5 as I was out of usb ports. Does not work for this purpose as all though the head set dongle had power and wireless connected, no luck. Had to reinstall into the system itself. So if you’re getting this for the same reason don’t. Other then that it’s a neat product that could probably save your port space.

you CAN plug a power supply into it ! (limits yet unanalyzed)
It's a cheap (US$7.99) 7-port USB hub; whaddaya want? :) I noticed there's a small coaxial power receptacle on the side where the USB cable is. I tried a 3mm OD connector in it (center-positive) to a 5V power supply. Success!Haven't cracked the case yet to see if there is any overload protection per-port (or overall) so I'd limit any requirements to the standard 500ma max per port (and do remember: the port you plug the box into MAY just have a 500ma limit). The individual switches for each port can be a boon IF you are power-limited (only using the power through the comms cable). I didn't rate it higher because it WOULD have been better to have the more-popular 5.5x2.1mm coaxial connector. It didn't change my life, but I like it, and recommend it. I'll probably buy another for the laptop (the reviewed unit will be on my desktop).
