So far, so good
I have had the rain barrel out in the garden for a summer and winter, and it does what it's meant to. Since we have no summer rain in the Middle East, I gather water from various A.C. run-offs, and you'd be surprised how much water they generate. The winter rain filled the barrel up very quickly. Although the barrel looks flimsy, so far, so good. The spigot doesn't leak but one needs to use both hands to turn it, because the material holding is isn't sturdy.

Rain barrell
This is a very nice rain barrel. My husband put it together right before a storm. After the storm, it was full to the top! We use this for watering the garden. It has a zip cover so no breeding mosquitoes. No complaints!

Spigots don’t fit hoses
There’s no good option for overflow since the top spigot has no threads, and the middle of the barrel spigot is waaaaay to small for a hose. What’s the point if the water is just gonna pour out the side anyway? You also have to plug the clear hose or it just leaks out there instead of the overflow valve. Bought it instead of making my own because I thought I wouldn’t have to go get any other parts, buuuuuut I should have done more research. Good on you for reading this and saving yourself the trouble.
