I used this to bypass the regulator on my blackstone. The stock regulator would constantly go into low pressure mode after turning the propane tank on (pressure surge) and it was a pain to get it working normally.This regulator allows me to control the flow… which can allow you to turn your cooktop into a forge if you dial it up.

Exactly what we needed

I replaced the OEM regulator on my Blackstone griddle with this, and it made a world of difference. This allows you to adjust your flame with greater precision and a higher output than the stock one. Use caution when using this on grills and griddles, as you can set it higher than is recommended. I believe it is originally intended for turkey fryers/seafood boil burners, which operate at higher pressures and volume.

Bought these to have some regulation for my grill and griddle, having tapped into the propane after the whole-house regulation. Allowed them to be hotter than using the stock regulators in series with the main one, but still only what I would consider marginally useful. Have since deleted any extra regulation at the appliances, by using direct quick-connects, which worked perfectly. Live and learn.Still, these seem like good devices for the money. No leaks that I could find, and they did adjust the output as expected, but was using them with already lower input pressure. The braided stainless is nice extra security. Will keep them in case I go back to direct-to-tank at some point.

Installed on13DEC2023. Attempted to light pilot for 45 minutes. No joy. Disconnected hose and turned gas on, no gas came out. Turned regulator to minumum and slowly advanced torward maximum. Gas started coming out at about 1/3 turn of knob. Turning know further toward maximum resulted in gas shutting off again, turned it back to minumum and gas flowed only around 1/3 of first rotation of knob. Left gas on to heat room overnight. Heater was off, pilot was off next morning, gas bottle still nearly full (by weight). Messed with knob and got it going again but cannot trust it to stay on due to it varying output without touching it. This is a piece of trash and only getting to return it for a few days is BS.

I had some issues with previous regulator hoses. Bought this , I am happy, at least for few months now. Looks durable, strong with steel covered pipe.
