I just refilled my pool and my city water has phosphate. I read reviews for multiple products that remove phosphate and I chose this one because of the good reviews. My phosphate level was 2796 and should be under 100 in my 18,000 gallon pool. I followed the directions: added the entire 32 ounce bottle and ran my filter for 48 hours and now my level is 261. The product my pool guy recommended required me to use 85 ounces but I could only add 48 ounces at once, requiring me to do the process twice. Using Pool Phosphate Remover was indeed Fast Acting and was Maximum Strength! Truth in advertising. This product saved me money and time! I would highly recommend using it!

Works exactly as advertised. I had treated my pool with Phos free a week ago my levels were extremely high 4,000 to be exact my salt system wasn’t producing chlorine and I couldn’t get the liquid chlorine to hold more than 12-24 hours. The pool store sold me Phos Free but it only brought it down to 3200. And I still wasn’t holding chlorine. So this week I bought this hoping it would do a better job and it did not disappoint. After just under 72 hours of circulation it dropped my phosphate levels from 32000 to 800 and my salt system is working again and now have a chlorine reading for the first time in weeks. I highly recommend this product and yes it does make your pool very cloudy especially if your levels are very high but by 36 hours I noticed it clearing up significantly and in just over 48 hours it was clear again. I did run my pump for almost 72 hours. I’ll be re testing in a couple of days to see if it drops any lower if not I will treat it again with the recommended dose for a level of 800 as I still have some left after treating the level of 3200.

My phosphates were at 1,000. I regularly use the Freephos weekly but they still climbed. Followed the directions for this which was 14 fl oz for me. Pool clouded up for a day then it cleared up. My “egg” style DE filter pressure went up to the “clean” pressure, which I cleaned out. A trick I saw on a video is to add a few drops after your pool clears up and if it doesn’t “cloud” the phosphates are removed. Mine didn’t cloud again and a test showed ZERO phosphates. But if it did cloud again I’d test the water and treat again per the results. Definitely keeping this on my pool supply list and probably dumping the phosfree, see how it goes.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the results of this product. I had a phosphate level greater that 1200 and used this as directed, and the level dropped to 100 overnight. I had previously been using PhosFree, and while it did lower the phosphate level, it usually took two or three applications before seeing any results. I don't write a lot of product reviews, but I am so impressed with this stuff that I felt the need to share my experience.

Phosphates are often overlooked. If you can get your phosphates to a near zero level (ppb), you will spend less time and money trying to treat your pool water and great forgiveness in your levels. This is the pro secret to perfect pool water. This Phosphate Remover can get you there in 1 -2 applications. Highly recommended.
