Can take the weight
I use mine for my Hi definition TV and have my DVD Player underneath. Very strong construction

Nice TV shelf
Nice TV shelf, one problem the slot will not hold remote control, it is far too narrow, should be 2.5cm deeper.

Waste of money.
I bought this to add space on my desk.I do assemble ikea furniture for a living so I know how to put things together.Right out on the box one of the fixing broke while assembling.I assembled the rest and could feel the whole stand not stead with the fixings backing out slowly.Currently sat in the bin, good as a fire started, shame I don't have a chimney.

What quality control?
I don't normally indulge in negative reviews but this item was really ropey. Assembly required four identical inserts. Three were ok (albeit slightly undersize for the pre-bored holes) but the fourth was of a completely different size! Pointless to send back but consider this stand kit as a raw material set and get busy with the Gorilla glue.
