This was my first matcha powder I purchased and I was very pleasantly surprised. I appreciate that it's organic and it tastes very fresh. I also love that it makes me feel slightly energized and doesn't give me jittery caffeine high that a lot of coffees do. The size is great to try a bunch of matchas however you like them before committing to a fuller size container. I've only tried this in iced matchas, but they are delicious! I don't know how this would taste in hot matchas, but I know the cool refreshing temperature of an iced matcha fits the flavor profile of this one well.My only complaint is that I feel like it takes a lot of scoops of this stuff to get a good matcha flavor. The serving size is I believe 1/4 tsp or 1/2 tsp, and I probably use 2-4 tbsps to get a good flavor. However, I do like a pronounced and distinct matcha flavor so if you like something more subtle this would be perfect for you. Overall, it's a fantastic product!

I saw the reviews and got hopeful. Ippodo was sold out of matcha so wanted to get something to fill in the gap, and this heavily disappointed. It was definitely not fresh, the color and pigmentation was a pale green. I know it’s impossible for all matches to taste the same unless they harvest at the same time, from the same farm (again, impossible because it’s so unlikely) so I was already anticipating for it to taste different. Boy, was I wrong. It felt like it didn’t have any flavor, whatsoever.
