You need to have a good understanding of electronics
A lot of functionality and you can set any load value including 50-ohms, 75-ohms, 600-ohms, to high impedance. The only downside is the manual that comes with it is too brief; you must go to their website and download the full manual to understand the full functionality.

Really nice product
It has a lot of features that will be great to have it replaced a 45 year old Heathkit. It's compact and lightweight.

Very accurate and tons of built in arbitrary waveforms.
Amazing waveform generator. The amplitude, frequency and offset are dead on. Even the DC offset measures exactly what the screen says. You can go positive and negative offset. All the oscilloscope readings are exactly what the generator says on its screen. The waveform begins to get a little distorted at the maximum frequency. However, It does exactly what the specs are in the spec sheet. It has some cool pre loaded waveforms. For the money it is a great piece of kit.I also have a HP 8116A and the Owon is just as accurate. The best thing is it has a on off button for the waveform on each channel. You can adjust settings while output is active. It very intuitive and easy to use. Well worth the price.Just make sure your impedance matches the input for the correct amplitude. Just a note, the amplitude is Peak Positive. It will be double what the Owan says. It’s not peak to peak. It’s is built well but extremely lightweight. Two handed use will prevent you from pushing it around your bench. I just hope I get years of trouble free use?

What that I hear
Relatively intuitive controls. Sweep function was easy to setup

Fantastic bit of kit!
This programmable dual channel signal generator from OWON can generate two different waveforms simultaneously (300MSa/s max) at up to 70 Mhz. It has 5 basic waveforms and 150 built-in waveforms that can be modulated using AM, FM, PM, FSK, Sweep and Burst modulation functions. It can be connected via USB for PC control and is software upgradable. The built in waveforms cover the gamut from basic forms, mathematical functions, medical simulations, etc. You name it, it's there.I tested it out as best as I could with my little FNIRISI 138-pro hobby scope, but even though the FNIRISI was terribly outclassed by the OWON it was good enough to give me a hint of what the OWON is capable of. So far I've just kicked the tires a bit and haven't played with the PC connectivity at all. That'll be fun to play with in the coming weeks.OWON specializes in budget equipment and this bit of kit packs a lot of functionality at a great price point. I have no idea yet what I'll be using it for, but its a very cool addition to my test bench.

Very weak
Very low power output, frequency inaccurate must adjust to achieve correct Hz. Powered by 9vdc usb cable. Dont buy

Good function generator for the price
This function generator comes in a small package, but it’s mighty! I’ve been using it all summer in the development of some filters for amateur radio. It produces a pretty clean waveform that I can easily see react in the filter. It handles the HF bands no issue no it takes up very little space. I have plans to use the dual channel nature to build a mixer and tear it out. Overall I’m super happy with it and it’s held up well to over 100 hours of use in the past month or so. If you’re into electro ices, especially if you want to build and test filters or audio, give this a go!
