Prevents bladder crystals in my dog! WORKS!!!
My dog was getting crystals in his bladder, and even had to have surgery. Switching to Royal Canine SO was supposed to be enough, but new crystals were returning, then my vet suggested adding this product to his food. After two months the crystals were gone! He will be using this for life. Highly recommended!!!UPDATE....and very important--1. Get your pet to drink more water. Add water to their food. I even put an extra water bowl in the living room under a coffee table because my dog is too busy to go into the kitchen and get a drink; he likes to be with us. This has helped him get more water into his bladder!2. I found I could not give my dog any other food or snacks other than what the vet allowed, which was 2-3 small greenies a day, and baby carrots. No table scraps, no other snacks or chew treats. I wasn't as strict after the first surgery and he had crystals starting to form again (even with this product). So, you must use this product, the SO canned food with some water added, no more than 2 greenies a day as a treat, and they can have all the baby carrots they want. My dog has not had to have surgery again and now has no crystals!

most effective product
my bichonpoo had surgery a few months ago to remove bladder stones. for years his urine had tested positive for crystal formations which eventually turn into stones. he's been on veterinary prescribed high end dog foods for years, & yet with a diet of s/o urinary targeted dog foods, his urine still tends to form these crystals. after searching the internet for some alternative or supplement to alleviate this shortcoming in his system, i came across an article on the use of potassium citrate for this problem. i've been using this supplement on his veterinary dog food for a month, & for the first time in years, his urine today tested as being free from crystals. finally! something that actually works! i was told by a veterinarian that vets used to prescribed potassium citrate years ago, before the designer, high end, target specific dog foods hit the market. seeing as how these foods alone do not help his problem, i'm just so glad i found this item on amazon. after searching the net, this vendor had it for the most reasonable price, & the shipping was truly fast. i'm going to order my next container this week so i won't run out of it. it's the only thing i can rely on so far to really help overcome his urinary problem, & with no side effects.

Good product
Used this supplement to help aid with my pet's urinary issues. Easy to use but it's gotten too expensive to continue using on a daily basis.

This product is working great for my dog who has bladder stones
This product is working great for my dog who has bladder stones. It is helping raise the urine PH level to make it more alkalinity. However that being said i wish it was sold in a larger size, we go through it so quickly.

Price is right.
The vet sells this, prescription only, for $35.I cannot comment on the chemistry behind the product. My shelter-sourced dog forms oxalate stones, had a urethral obstruction, and required surgery, and was put on Science Diet UD prescription food (only for oxalate-stone-forming dogs). Despite periodic urinalysis, 11 months later the dog stones formed again, with another urethral obstruction. After surgery, the vet's next option was Royal Canin Urinary SO prescription food mixed with this Potassium Citrate supplement (potassium to bind to the oxalates and get flushed out faster with higher sodium food). For treats, he only gets boiled chicken -- and absolutely no commercial treats or human food. We now only give him bottled distilled water to drink. A year and a half later, the stones haven't formed. Yet.This supplement has worked so far, but only time will tell if the problem is abated permanently. I have no idea what this product does for animals beyond my personal experience. I'm giving 5 stars only for the price compared to local retailers.

Truly works
Let me start off by saying, I am not affiliated with this company, nor have I been asked to leave a review. We adopted 2 dogs, that were 10 years old, 5 years ago. The lab was also heartworm positive, which we had treated. She also has cancerous tumors that are still being treated. A few weeks ago she started going potty every 2 hours all day and night. We saw some crystals in her urine on a few of those occasions. Our vet recommended this and within a week and a half it started working. No more having to pee every 2 hours and she's sleeping a lot better- We are too!

Dissolved my dogs stones
I bought this because my beagle was having UTI's and stones. I hated buying that expensive dogfood and it's gross. I bought this it back in July, because the vet said she had stones again😩 I sprinkled it on her food, she loved it. We have been out for about 3 months. Well I took her to the vet and she had a UTI, but to my amazement the stones we're dissolved...gone. The vet said the CD dogfood is working. I confessed and told her what I had given her. She said great, keep up the good work. This stuff had helped my girl. It's alot cheaper than the CD dogfood. I have ordered more.👍
