I am not elderly... I'm only 36. I recently had emergency surgery on my spine due to a severely herniated disc that progressed into something called Cauda Equina Syndrome. It's EXTREMELY painful, and getting around has been, well, let's say difficult. I got all kinds of things to help...a walker, a toilet seat with handle bars, a shower chair with handle bars... This is probably my favorite.My favorite part about it is I'm bored AF sitting in bed all day, and the pockets are big enough to hold stuff like my entire computer keyboard. I can start my computer by myself and watch movies, now! My recovery bed is set up in my son's room, since my husband fights demons in his sleep, and this is perfect for the little twin cot we had for guests.For reference, I'm about 5'9" and probably about 160 right now. It seems sturdy and holds my weight well when I get up. Even if you need it temporarily while recovering from surgery, it's perfect. I actually love it. 😂

i would recommend this product it is not big and bulky and did the job that i needed it to do and was sturdy enough to help mt father stand and sit and stopped him from rolling off the bed.

bought this for my 87 yr old mom after surgery and she is so happy with it! It was fairly easy to put together, very easy to slip between the mattresses and provides very sturdy support. I love that it's height is adjustable for various mattress thicknesses. Mom absolutely loves the motion sensor light, which has been so helpful when getting up in the middle of the night. It would be better to have a more secure place to fasten the light rather than a sticky tape magnet to the soft sided storage pockets, but other than that, it's perfect!

It was easy to install and use. Light not so good but I replaced with other motion sensor light.

Highly recommend the Angel Bed Rails! My wife broke her femur in three places and was using the bed rails in a hospital bed for over six weeks, both in a rehab center and then at home. She had a challenge to bring up the bad leg onto the bed. But by using the bed rails on the hospital bed, she was able to learn the skills to move her bad leg onto the bed without help!The Angel Bed Rails provided a necessary transition to move back to her own bed! The rails allowed her to use the skills she learned using the hospital bed to return to her own bed. It was such a great feeling to her to finally have part of her life come closer to "normal" by using her own bed.We have one of the newer pillow-top mattresses, which is taller than our old mattress. For our mattress, The Angel Bed Rails provides the height needed to have the rails to extend above the mattress and provide the leverage needed to move her legs on and off the bed by herself. I recommend that any future purchaser carefully measure the height of the mattress and ensure the Angel Bed Rails will be tall enough for you.Another feature for us is the ability to slip an extender from the edge of the mattress underneath it and above the box springs. The feature I like is there are no extension legs to reach to the floor. The height of the rails are the dimensions given in the description. I found it confusing for those products which had those extension legs to determine if the rails will actually be tall enough with our pillow-top mattress. But indeed the Angel Bed Rails work just great.Lastly and a hidden benefit, there is a set of pockets which attach to the rail via the provided zip lock tape (or velcro). My wife was able to place her cellphone and other items close at hand and easy to locate them, even in the middle of the night.I highly recommend the Angel Bed Rails.

Loved it had motion light & loved the design & look of it! Easy to put together & my husband loves it too! Had a similar design but it was cheaply made & came apart so was dangerous to keep using! This one is quite durable & great looking!

Needed this for back surgery after care. Put it together and started using it a week prior to surgery. Works great, love the bag with it to store my glasses and other things that I need close by. The light is nice too but my cat keeps taking it off and playing with it. Highly recommend.

I got this for my 93-year old father. Installation is easy, the railing itself is good, solid and stable. But the motion light is different story. It is a joke. I had it charged almost 3 days now, the indicator light is still red. I wonder when it is going to turn green to indicate the charge is completed. I am not sure what to say. Maybe replace the light? I did charge it with my cell phone charger as the instruction menu says. It does not even come with one. I had to find one for the charging cable. Any suggestion about how long I should leave it charing? The menu says charging should be done 3-5 hours but mine is almost 3 days now. Could be the light is malfunction? I am not sure what to do right now. I would rate this product 5 star if there is no light charging problem.
