Used this as a pad for my electric drum kit. It’s very thick and grippy. Can definitely recommend it for that use!

I loved the quality of this item and it certainly stayed in place on the floor but it failed in two areas. 1. It was quite a bit larger than 5x7. Although it says you can trim to fit it’s pretty thick to cut. 2. My rug kept slipping in the top of the pad.

This pad is almost too nice. It’s certainly thicker than the rug it’s under. It was slightly larger than the size I ordered and cutting it down to size was a bit time consuming (I mention that as I feel it points to the quality of the material).This pad should last for many many years.It’s been on the floor for about a year and I am now noticing that the rug has moved about an inch, exposing the pad along one side. Idk if the rug moved or if the pad moved?

UPDATE: this does not work at all for any rugs that i have. I gave it a chance for a few days and tried it under 2 different rugs. It doesnt hold the rug down AT ALL, it actually slides around and bunches up way more than it did without it. I bought it so i could vacuum my rug without it getting sucked up into the vacuum and its again made it worse. Just walking on it throughout the day causes my rug to slide off of the mat about 1-2 feet and causes huge bunches in the rug. I included pictures that were taken not even 1 hour after i straightened it out again. I will be requesting a refund for the return of the item.It didnt work for my rug. It may work well on others, i dont know, but my rug doesnt stick to it at all. I have a 6'×9' washable rug that i couldnt vacuum over because it got sucked into the vacuum. I bought this mat so i could vacuum and so it would hold the rug in place throughout the day but neither of those happened.
