Amazing sound performances
I have been a headphones audiophile who chased Hifi for 15 years or so. Been through most of different systems. I have come to the point that I would love a pair of buds to satisfy my hunger while I am out and about, while I can still conduct conversations with others. The pair that don't disgust me. I have my reasonable expectations such as the right amount of airiness, crisp, clean, clarity and details.1/ Sound quality: unlike the Bose ultra or xm5, the sound performances from Tour Pro 2 is not full of resonances, bloated bass and muddy mess. It has huge sound stage for the category that it is in and for the audiences type that it targets. The cue of positioning within it soundstage is accurate with the vast soundstage, the first second I put it on, I was immediately satisfied with the immersiveness and similarity of Hifi system that I have always love. I would rate that it is in Mid Tier level for earbud systems. Now, considering that a proper mid tier buds ATM with a digital/DAC/Amp/Cable is typically $800-1500 system. This earbuds by itself is hitting well into the range with it performances. Now, let's forget about what Codec it uses, it is maxed out AAC 16/44•1 but the performances is well and beyond that of XM5 which support all kind of fanciest LDAC....with their DSEEHX and all the marketing stuff that drive a person nuts if you are not into it. If you are though...it is beyond disappointing. I don't understand why xm5 was hyped so much. You are welcome to try them out and don't have to take my words for itOnto the ANC features, the Tour Pro 2 allow adjustable ambient sounds, you can amplify it to listen to conversations easier or you can negate it just enough to pay attentions to stuff around you while you are jamming with your favorite tunes. I personally find this to be very very practical, together with the ability to adjust L/R balances. I recommend not to tinker with it as it would result in staging oddities and so on, our ears and brain adjust the best when things appear natural to them. But when you needed it, it is there.Case with fancy screen ? Yeah, some people say that it is not needed. IMO, I do need it, I am just adapting myself into this type of buds, I am clumsy at controlling with fingers and tap function. I rarely touch and finger to command, but I found the touch screen on the case is so practical and money worthy to have.I am surprised that with such amazing performances that is audiophile worthy, and practicality for ANC system, the price of the product, all considered and it still doesn't get the credits that it deserved. IMO, down right the best TWS with ANC at the moment of July 2024 if I can vote for it.Finally, please try different systems to see which one fit you the most, but if you would like to save some headaches and time, don't look into different fanciest that isn't worth it such as spatial sounds, LDAC codex or DSEE stuff...they are all meaningless if you get a muddy mess and bloated timbers, do give this a chance priority and you may arrive at the same conclusion that I do

Pretty Solid Upgrade Candidate
If you are looking to upgrade off of your old Airpod Pro’s, these are a great candidate to do so, i’ve been using the same pair Airpod Pro’s for about 5 years now, as you can imagine they are pretty worn and blown out by now, So i snagged a pair of these why they were on sale for good Value, I recommend waiting for them to go on sale, but i am sure that the price will slowly drop overtime once they release another new model. The only Con’s i noticed, is that these are just a bit quieter and the transparency isn’t as clear as my airpods but are still pretty good and lets be honest not alot of folks use that feature, but i have to say the noise Cancelling is way stronger then the Airpods and thats really all i care about, as the place i work at gets very loud and headache inducing. Even though they play music just alittle bit quieter than the airpods, The Clarity and Bass of these buds make them worth it, You will definitely being hearing things in songs that you never noticed before.I couldn’t really tell a difference between their spatial audio as i don’t use headtracked spatial audio with my Airpods, but these don’t have the ability to track your head as airpods do (if thats matters to you anyways.

These Are A Keeper, But Not At Full Retail
So the common complaint with those who gave these buds a 1 star is not pairing out of the box. There is a protective strip that has to be peeled in order for them to work. These reviewers may not have realized this and immediately trashed the earbuds. That said to continue....After doing the firmware update and setting up the custom eq, the Tour Pro2 sounds amazing so far. I previously had the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro and unfortunately the driver in the left bud blew out. While I loved the galaxy buds, they had their issues with stability along with limited eq settings and that was with have a Samsung Note. Which is why I went to the JBL Tour Pro2. The other premium brands Sennheisers, Bose, B&O etc are not worth their price for what you get. I am even skeptical of these because of pricing, vs what you get, but I want to give them a chance to see if they're worth 249.00.The overall sound quality so far is very good and the bass is deep as advertised. The smart case is good, I'd wish it would show the artist and track and the flashlight function is silly.Couple of things i have to get used to are the tap controls on the Buds, as they are different than samsung. The second is the awkward plucking of the Buds out of the case (not a deal breaker). So I will give these a chance and make a decision before the return window is closed and I will give an update.I found a new pair of the Tour Pro 2 for much better price and I will be returning these solely based on price. I found a new set elsewhere for 179.00 (Not on Amazon) which is a more appropriate pricepoint. I personally think 249 is high for these at full retail. If the case did a little more or the sound quality was at high end audiophile level, then they'd be worth 249.00.Quick Update:Now it's July, and the JBL Tour Pro2 is still my go to earbuds. After having them for almost 4 months, I don't find plucking the Buds out of the case to be awkward after having them for a while, the stability is great, and the battery life is holding on strong. I still stick with my original statement to find these below retail for a better value.

Amazing headphones!
(Remember to take the plastic off the earbuds, or they won't work.)Amazing headphones. Sound is perfect and in a room full of people I hear nothing except the music I'm playing or the person I'm talking to. Very comfortable and my ears have a habit of expelling ear buds, but not these ones. The case itself is very nice and easy to use and is a great feature. Overall it's the perfect earbuds.
