For the price it can't be beat - quality a little lacking but it does the job
I got this to dig 18 holes for a chain link fence. Unboxing was pretty standard - packaged well and nothing broken or missing. Upon assembly I realized one of the handles did not have holes drilled for the bolts to attach the handle to the motor. No big deal - pulled out the drill and made my own holes. Other than that assembly was pretty standard. First use was a little rough. Getting it to start the first time takes a little longer than the instructions would suggest - but after a few pulls - it started right up and in the 5 times using it since - no more than 3 pulls to start. It has plenty of power to do the job. It was able to cut through some smaller roots by taking it easy on the downward pressure and letting the auger take a bite of the root bit by bit.Only negative - and this is really an issue with 2 stroke engines, is that the exhaust is super smokey and will spit out some oil residue on the side of the machine.Overall for the price - it can't be beat.

Beyond satisfied
Beyond satisfied! Honestly I wasn’t expecting much out of this auger due to its price. But let me tell you you I’m honestly very impressed. My favorite thing about it is the very easy pull to get it to fire up and starts up ever time without any issues. With the right dirt conditions I could dig a hole in the matter of minutes. I used it for 16 post and had zero issues with the auger

Bad supplier,
This did not work, started leaking after first hole, tried to get customer support attention and they said they couldn't help me, and the product was not returnable,I would not recommend this item or anything coming from this supplier because of their bad customer service, they would not even listen to what i had to say, I'm very disappointed,

Works and digs very well, caveat is -> very hard to start
I've only had this for a few days now, but I've dug my first few holes and this digs like a champ. The issue is, it is very hard to start. Make sure you watch the video on how to start it on here and do it on your computer, not your phone. On your phone it's hard to understand. So first thing is, the choke appears to be labeled backward on the device, but they have a sticker that says choke, run that appears to be correct. The video doesn't mention the sticker so you have to watch closely. Just follow the video, it takes a while, but eventually will start. What should be said though is wear think gloves, you have to pull it just right to get the start and 80% will be half pulls where the engine won't turn and stops you hard. It's a small handle and it will hurt your fingers and wrist. Overall, still a 4* when you consider the price and that it works for that price. One other note, don't leave it sitting running, turn it off. It's only happened once, but while sitting there it just started turning even though the throttle was off and the safety button out. It had been sitting for about 2 minutes and the drill started turning, fell over and started rolling around the lawn. Very dangerous situation, I just watched till it rolled into a post and I was able to safely walk over and turn it off.

Ate through hard packed clay like a hot knife through butter.
I was having a really hard time digging post holes in the dry, packed, Texas clay soil, and it was taking forever, so I got this. Took me 30 seconds to drill a two foot deep hole. Easy assembly, just bolt on the handles and screw on the auger tip. I was also digging where an old post used to be with the remnants of broken chunks of concrete. The Auger ate right through them and spit them out (except for the big chunks I had to get by hand.) Excellent quality, Starts on first poll. Gas Mixes 25 to 1 two-cycle. I would 100 percent recommend this and it was the best price I could find on an auger.

This is a very good product....Do you dig it ?
I was skeptical to purchase this based on some of the reviews and because it was so much cheaper & not a name brand. I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase !! I was building a retaining wall for my Dad & needed to dig 4 holes for the posts. While the oil/gas ratio is a little odd, it is awesome that they included the measuring bottle to make sure you have the right ratio for the engine to function correctly. Assembly was easy and it started right up after one pull and idled perfect with no stalling. It dug the holes like a hot knife through butter. I went through dirt, shale, gravel & even some larger rock that it was able to loosen. I got a little carried away and ended up in China. For the price point, you cannot beat this hole digger. For the price of renting one, you can own one instead. Eddie K out !!!

Starts on first pull and does a good job.
The Bilt Hard auger has worked flawlessly. I’ve only dug about 12 holes but it starts on the first pull. A rental would have been $140 a day. That’s what I paid for the Bilt Hard auger. At this point I couldn’t be more pleased.
