SAMSUNG W190 5.5MP HD Pocket Camcorder Red

I've had this little camcorder a few weeks now and I love it! Shoots in 720 and 1080 HD plus it captures still photos (which can be done during recording or playback). The picture gets a little grainy in low light or when you zoom in but nothing that makes it unwatchable. Comes with a mini-HDMI port so you can hook it up to your TV for HD viewing. I bought a female to male USB adapter to make charging a little easier otherwise the camera hangs out of the computer's USB port kind of awkwardly. I have used it to shoot about an hours worth of video so far (on and off over the last few weeks) and I'm only down one bar on the battery indicator. Haven't tested the waterproof part but I'm not really interested in that anyways. Overall, a good little camera for the price.

This is a great product for your parents that want to have a camcorder, but can't deal with complicated electronics (yet). The W190 is very, very easy to use and within hours my dad was shooting Christmas videos with it. He's wanted a camcorder for years, but the price has never been right for us until I came across this little gem. Great price, great video quality, very robust casing, and very easy to use.I'm docking a star because of how unwieldy it is to charge, though. If it came with a standard AC charger it would be absolutely perfect. As it stands, the USB connector looks rather precarious when it's charging on the PC.

The price was right to try out this camera to capture our obstacle course run. ["GAC Trailer Cut"] My friend had recently lost his waterproof camera, so we needed something quickly. I'm very happy with my no-longer-new camera! We threw it over walls to each other and crawled through mud with it, and it still feels brand new (after picking dirt clods out of the crevices). The ONLY complaint I could make is that the front of the camera has a pyramid texture to the black plastic that traps dirt and is hard to clean, if that's anyone's biggest concern...

This stopped working after 1 day of normal use. Not in water or dropped, just would no longer turn on. Try something else.

The Amazon ad says that it is waterproof. On the camera it's self says that it is waterproof 3m/10ft. We bought as a gift for our son for Christmas 2012, so this spring when we went to use it in the water it instantly stopped working. Seller now claims that the ad did not say waterproof. Don't buy this camera thinking it will be water proof.

It's OK. I had a Flip video recorder for several years that just died on me. This was the replacement and the Flip video recorder was much better in my opinion. This one has better audio, but the Flip was easier to use and the downloaded program for putting the videos on your computer was MUCH better with the Flip recorder. Too bad they don't make Flip anymore.

This little cam corder is sturdy, it was for my teen daughter to use running around. We live in the Pacific NW in the winters and she can video even in the rain. Last week we went hiking and it stands true to its waterproof claim, because she filmed the river under the water....very beautiful images...

Bought this as a gift for my wife, and the only complaint we've had in over a year is that the power button is not very responsive. We have developed a trick where we turn it on it's side and give it a flick and it works, but if you don't it's like the button is broken.All other features work exactly as advertised, works well under water, the video quality is great, and the battery life is awesome.
