These are the sturdiest and best boxes ever. They do not crack easily and take a lot of abuse!! Love that they are clear so I can see what is inside. It saves lots of room when not using because it is so stackable.

Maybe I'm OCD, maybe I just want to hang onto memories even if I never look back on them, but I purchased three of these to put away my old letters and journals collected over the years. Pretty much ever letter that I ever received from someone I knew. They used to rest in shoe boxes, footlockers, other cardboard boxes... somehow I had a fear that they would be more likely to get lost or damaged this way so I got these bins to put them away.What I like is that the translucent material on the side makes it easy to glance at and see what's inside. Like a tetris expert, I fit in the shoeboxes of letters and all my different sized journals into these boxes (and some really old family heirlooms and nick-knacks as well) It keeps it nice, and just feels better organized than old boxes. And let's get real - these will last longer than cardboard though there is no protection against fire and water can seep into the top since the lid doesn't shut air-tight. If it's on your basement floor and there's flooding, items inside will stay dry as long as it doesn't seep over the surface. One of mine had a lid that didn't fit in smoothly like the others, but with a bit of fiddling, it worked fine.Will withstand some standard knocks, but isn't bullet-proof or anything. Just a storage device, not a safe.

I bought 2 of these containers to store my small window air conditioner units during the off-season. It’s a perfect fit! When they arrived, I was concerned that they might be just a bit too small (even though I measured 3x before buying), but the a/c unit fits perfectly. I especially like the attached lid.

The NYTimes Wirecutter review said that this bin had passed the "throw it down the stairs" test. That's why I bought it – and then shipped it packed full of stuff across the country and back. It made it without a scratch or a crack... unlike the bin that is this exact same style, bought at Costco, which shattered after its cross-country travels.

This is my 10th order of this, love them for storage. HOWEVER, someone decided to ship it without putting it in a box like the previous 9 orders and now I’m wasting a bottle of Goof-Off to remove the labels. Should have just returned it and gone to Lowe’s to buy one. Not the manufacturers fault that shipping took an ill advised short cut and compounded the error with non-removable labels.

Wasn’t a fan of how the lid tops fit together. It would take a couple of tries each time to close.I guess if it would be used just for storage it might be okay for others. The bin was quite sturdy though.
