This crimper is a top quality tool and I love that it comes with everything you need. The cable tester works really well and gives you a good indication of how well the cable works. I am excited about this, in fact several co-workers asked be where I got this and they stated they were going to order a kit for themselves too. Great value for the cost!

Exactly what I needed. Started to hardwire my whole house and misplaced my other crimper. This is a very useful little kit. The connectors and boots are of decent quality. The tester feels a little cheap but functions fine. The crimper tool works well.

This is a great product, it helps me get the works done. But I hope there is more instructions on how to use it. It took me some time to figure out as a beginner.

Has everything you need. Recieved the ethernet boots, the ethernet jacks, cutter, stripper, crimping tool, and the tester. Be sure to have a 9v battery on hand, clearly stated it does not come with one.Everything works as it should. Many will say it's not a pro tool. If that is the case, it works perfectly for the home owner. You get soo much more for your money, and they all work. Beware that the cable boots for the jacks are a little stiff. If you are not careful, you can break the RJ45 jack when removing the cable from a plug/socket.I bought this kit to install a home network. It works flawlessly. The directions are understandable and very clear even when it has one or two flaws in the English writing.

I'm not a networking person. Just a guy with a small problem. I'm installing a tri-band radio in my new pickup. I built a console to house the radio. While setting this all up, I became aware the lock tab is broken from my Microphone cord. This is your typical RJ45 connector.This radio has a face that separates from the radio's main body. To accomplish that, you must have the separation cabling. In checking, I found the lock tab is also broken from the Mic plug on the separation cabling. SO, I'm in trouble. Can't proceed until I repair the Microphone cabling.I found this kit while searching for RJ45 connectors. I ordered it and it arrived in a couple of days. The quality of the crimp tool is very good. Since I never done this kind of thing, I was a bit nervous about trying this but my radio is from 1991 and you can't buy parts for it any longer. I cut the end off the Microphone itself and following the color code in the old plug, I was able to install a new RJ45 end on the Mic. Since I can't use the tester that comes with this kit, the only way to check and see if I made a good connection was to hook the Mic to the radio and see if all functions work.Everything worked as it should. I'm very pleased with this kit. It goes without saying that I am not a pro using this kind of tooling but I managed to make the repair I needed with no problem.IF your curious about this kind of repair work, give this a try. This works great for what I'm doing.

The instructions are a poor English translation that hardly make sense.The image on the crimp tool shows the wires stripped. Absolutely does not work that way.The cable wires must be inserted unstripped. It worked so so after figuring it out.No wonder it is priced so low....I attempted to contact the company but the website is non existent.

First use was to build a custom length network cable. It was easy to build and to test. Definitely a great value.

All you need to make Cat5/6 cables

shortened cat 5 cables during camera install and never had to redo any connections. The test tool works great

Tool does a great job but you must apply sufficient pressure when crimping, that’s where the tester comes handy for checking the cable if it’s well connected on both ends ( colors of wire Cat 5E or Cat 6 must correspond on both ends )

It took me a while to get good at making ends, but it was absolutely worth the money. Having the ability to make these make ends made feeding cat5 through walls easy, no longer will I have to make cat5 jacks or drill half-inch holes through walls to get a wire through.
