AMTAST8.2” Extra Large Size Dial Type Barometer Thermometer Hygrometer 3 in 1 Multifunction, Pure Mechanical Dial Barometric Pressure Weather Station (Imperial) AW008A

I've had this since early 2020 and have now used it in two different residences without a problem. It hangs on the wall, and not too high so the temp/humidity gauges don't get affected by the height and it being warmer. I use the barometer everyday a LOT and have it calibrated to wunderground.com which I also have used for decades for its accuracy. I adjusted just now and initially when I first got it years ago, and it's my reference to weather every day! I can tell if it'll be cloudy as the barometer pressure drops, or gets clear and sunny as the pressure increases. There's even a dial marker you can turn as a reminder as to when last set, to compare to a more timely reading. I've read the other reviews and am guessing others really don't know HOW read it. The pressure does NOT really change much, unless you have a hurricane or tornado coming your way, then it should drop in pressure waaay down! In the two different locations I've been, I have had NO problems at all, adjusting it as necessary [tool provided] and it has been accurate in all aspects: humidity, temperature and barometer pressure, and this is the very first and only one I've ever owned. I later purchased a handheldd wind/temp/pressure reader which is VERY handy to use also. As a photographer who ventures out in all sorts of weather, these weather and barometer instruments are very useful. I have had NO problem with this , and for those who know how to calibrate it with the included tool, will be a very useful tool for them, as it has been through the years for me. I highly recommend this, and I have NEVER had a problem with this throughout the many years I've had this.

A good looking barometer for the money. Works pretty well. A bit fidgety to adjust initially. My only real complaint is that the telltale needle is hard to move because the adjustment knob is pretty small and hard to grasp. Pretty much I am satisfied with the purchase.

Old fashioned style mechanical weather station. No electronics, no internet, will always work. What I like about this unit compared to all the others I looked at is that it just has the US units on it. Most of them these days also have French units which makes them very cluttered. This has a very clear display with everything you need and nothing you don't. Highly recommended!As for the accuracy, the barometric readout needs to be calibrated according to the manual, although I checked mine against weather stations in the area and it was pretty spot on so I decided to leave the adjustment alone.

I had high hopes of using this but I have to tap it to get the barometer needle to update, so there’s clearly a ton of internal friction. I guess it’s ok, but if you want something nice you should go for something else.

This equipment gives accurate reading for temperature, but not for humidity or barometric pressure. It's good looking but useless for me, as I have a chronic pain condition and need to track whether the pressure is rising or falling. Don't waste your money, if you're looking for a barometer.

I was uncertain about getting a barometer at all after looking at multiple reviews (for multiple different barometers); so many reviews say they are unreliable. However, after getting this one and setting it the way the instructions said, it has given the same readings as a local weather station every day for the past two weeks. I pick it up and tap gently to let the needle swing around some but it's final stop is always very close to what the local weather station says. So I have been very pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the barometer part.The thermometer also seems to be accurate. I am not as sure about the hygrometer, because I have another hygrometer and they seem to disagree with each other most of the time. But the needle definitely moves and I can see when it is more humid or less humid; but whether the actual numerical reading is accurate or not with the hygrometer I cannot tell.Overall I'm very satisfied with this item and it is nice to have all three meters in one.

I purchased the unit on July 12,2024 and have weekly been checking it's pressure reading against the reading from my local weather service which is about 2 miles from my location. Today's date is Sept 9, 2024.With the unit mounted on a wall in my house the indicator seems to get stuck and doesn't move to the the correct reading. If I very gently remove it from it's wall mount, and slightly tilt the top of the unite toward me (about 5 degrees of tilt) the needle moves to or very close to the correct reading.In general I would say this unit look very nice but does a very poor job of tracking the pressure because it is always getting stuck.

Some might wonder why the pressure scale if off about 10° from vertical. That's because 29.92 inches of mercury is standard barometric pressure and is displayed at the top on this particular model.I found the device fairly easy to calibrate with the tool provided. I used the NOAA observation to set it to my elevation.Android barometers are kind of gimpy so you have to give it a little tap to make the needle display the accurate pressure.The unit in my photo is mounted on a slab of bass wood.
