Mixed opinions
Not the most powerful next gen GPU by a long way. Not good value for money when bought, in fact no better performance per dollar than the 3070 I upgraded from, but I remain reasonably happy with it due to the extra VRAM since it gets me above that problematic 8GB mark everyone's been talking about (even though...look, Nvidia, stop being to stingy with the VRAM, this should be at least a 16GB GPU for 600 quid, COME ON!), and technologies such as DLSS has already, and will in future even moreso, allow this GPU to punch well above it's weight in frames per second when compared to anything that has gone before. I recommend a 4070 to anyone not able to afford better, who is on a 3000 series or less (or AMD equivalent), and IF they can get this card for a good price. That price is dictated by you, not me, so I won't tell you what that good price would be. I can tell you that for me this card ought to cost between 350-450, but Nvidia gonna Nvidia, and people like me continuing to buy their products because I felt backed into a corner because all of a sudden my 3070 wasn't even holding up at 1080 in some newer titles, almost as if Nvidia planned it to start to look bad right around the time of release of their next gen lineup. As far as my specific GPU goes, I've not had any problems with it. Quiet, easy to install, never failed, no problems. I even installed the wrong drivers by accident once. I simply used DDU to clean uninstall all the drivers then clean install the correct drivers and there were no problems. I've never had a problem with an Nvidia product ever. It's just their price gouging, ruthlessness towards their own partners and customers, and their dishonesty that winds me up.

Glad I got this card.
Pretty good value when I bought it (Jan 2024) but ultimately paired with and AMD 7800X3D (5.0 GHz) this made an excellent gaming PC. Comfortably runs ArmA and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 with ease, with the *caveat* that I am only feeding a 1080x1920 monitor at 144HzWhen I bought it you could buy better but this represented better value and gave me the performance improvement I want (you could also buy better value graphics cards but I thought it was worth paying the extra for a more capable graphics card). The unboxing experience also impressed this 60's cynic (ticked that box don't need to experience it again).

Fantastic Card
I recently upgraded my gaming rig with the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 WINDFORCE OC 12GB Graphics Card, and I couldn't be more thrilled with its performance. The performance of the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 WINDFORCE OC is simply outstanding. Powered by NVIDIA's latest architecture, this card delivers smooth, high-frame-rate gaming even at 4K resolution. Whether I'm playing graphically intense AAA titles or running demanding applications, the RTX 4070 handles everything with ease. One of the standout features of this graphics card is its WINDFORCE cooling system. The three fans and advanced heat dissipation technology keep the card cool even during long gaming sessions. I’ve noticed that the temperatures stay well within safe limits, and the card remains remarkably quiet. The fans are virtually silent when idling and only slightly audible under heavy load.Overall, the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 WINDFORCE OC 12GB Graphics Card has exceeded my expectations in every way. From its stellar performance and advanced cooling system to its impressive ray tracing and DLSS capabilities, this card is a powerhouse that elevates my gaming and computing experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their GPU to something truly remarkable.

Brilliant performance/price ratio
Got this to replace a new aging RTC2070 Super, that was a bit of a mistake because now my CPU's become the bottleneck of the system, so that'll be another £1000 to spend. Pro Tip: go to a system compatibility checker before firing your hard-earned into a single costly upgrade.Other than that - good improvement in frame rates on my favourite games, combined with a high-sync monitor it's a must-have system upgrade - has a good choice of ports - which for me is brilliant as I dual-monitor and I'm yet to see it struggle with anything I've thrown at it.TL:DR brilliant card, consider your overall system build before jumping in.

carefull when buying 4070's
has older style ram inside , makes it faster than the other 4070 , just double check just in case they change

Blown away
There's no need for anything more than the 4070, used this on my first build and it handles anything, it's almost too good for my processor, highly recommend for high performance games. Clicks into place easily as is expected, cooling is great, only slight annoyance is the RGB only stays on while the fans spin, and I have found no resolution for this, since my graphics card is mounted with the fans facing the side glass of my case, it looks so much better with the rgb on, so it would be cool if this was available

Affordable-ish Nvidia gpu
The RTX 4070 windforce OC was the only “high end” gpu I could afford. I paired it with the Ryzen 7 5800x3D and it’s honestly amazing, I benchmarked cyberpunk on the highest settings it could go (without path tracing) and as you can see I was averaging 100+ FPS with 138 as my max. It ran smoothly. I have no complaints but I really wish it wasn’t so overpriced. I can’t really hear the fans for it since my case fans are always on turbo which is sorta loud.
