A very useful book
This book is an excellent guide to adding color to guitar solos by adding modal tones. The first few chapters cover adding Dorian tones (major 6ths and 9ths) to minor pentatonic and blues scale solos. The incremental approach used is quite useful. The downloadable audio is well done and instructive, including solid backing tracks. The book is a worthwhile addition to my guitar resource collection,

Essential reading to break away from just the pentatonic scale
I've spent a few days with the book. Started by basically reading through it. Then I returned to the beginning with guitar in hand and working the process. It has opened up new doors. No regrets buying this book!

Great approach to learning modes
What I like best is the approach to memorizing the mode shapes by using the pentatonic shapes as the starting point and adding a couple notes for a mode. I haven’t even used the examples. I just jam blues progressions with the expanded shapes. Great way to learn.

Great Book on Adapting the Pentatonic Scale to the Greek Modes!
this is the first book I found that takes the basic pentatonic scale and demonstrates step by step how it segues into the 7 modes of the diatonic scalehighly recommended for it's simplistic approach to a complex subjectthe free audio examples are the icing on the cake!

Simplified for better understanding
I have used several Joseph Alexander books in the past. This book helped me to understand the modes. It was a goal I was trying to achieve for some time. You will find good diagrams and practice opportunities throughout the book. Highly recommended.
