Great purchase
Straps right into my pedal board and I’ve never had any problems. No noise whatsoever. I’ve got every spot connected to this and I would definitely recommend this power bar.

Well worth the price!
It’s small and does its job. Well. We have “dirty” electric and it does better than I expected. I ran 8 Behringer pedals on a board with it and I’ll probably get another one (or two) for my larger board.

Good quality at a low cost
I’ve had one on my main board with a Voodoo Lab for a few years. And except for costing $150 less, I see no difference. Got this one for my grandson.

For the beginner, there's nothing better on the market.
Look--there are plenty of reasons why a pro musician wouldn't use this Caline CP-05 on their pedalboard. However, I'm not even going to get into all of that. What's important here are 2 things:1. Affordability2. Versatility for the beginnerThis power supply provides BOTH.On the subject of affordability, this thing only cost $36. That is a STEAL. If you're wondering if the price of this unit is fair, then here's your answer: It's beyond fair. For a guitarist who is just getting into building pedalboards, this is a no-brainer. Buy it. Heck, buy two of them. It's lightweight and very compact. It will attach to the underside of your pedalboard easily with velcro. When you first start learning about power supplies, you might find the subject confusing but it's actually pretty simple. An easy-to-use power supply like this Caline CP-05 can help you learn the basics and eventually graduate to a bigger badder power supply. However, for most amateur home musicians, this power supply gives you plenty of options and you'll probably never need anything else until you start getting into multiple digital pedals/amp modelers and the like. This power supply has one high current output that delivers 9V of power with 500mA of current. This is enough to easily run a Blue Sky, Lex or other comparable Strymon pedal. In addition, there are 7 outputs that deliver 9V of power with100mA of current. Most of your everyday pedals use 9V of power and draw less than 100mA of current. Overdrives, distortions, chorus, flanger, phaser, compressor, etc should be fine in general. There are exceptions but a beginner probably won't run into any. Also, there are 2 higher voltage outputs, each with 100mA of current available. These outputs may not be very useful because most higher voltage pedals require more current than what these outputs provide. But something to think about is that a lot of common pedals today (check with manufacturer) can run on higher voltages which results in higher clean headroom. It's nice to have a couple of higher voltage outputs so that you can try this out. (I must mention that you should always read your pedal's user manual and only use the voltage recommended by the pedal manufacturer because, otherwise, you can damage or destroy your pedal. For example, if the user manual says that it runs on 9-18V, that means that it will run on voltage anywhere from 9V all the way up to 18V.)Here's the bottom line:If you're putting together a small to medium-sized pedalboard for home use, you likely don't need anything more than this Caline CP-05. Don't let the gear snobs fool you. You DON'T need isolated outputs for basic home use. You just need power to your pedals. Where you might find this power supply lacking is in the fact that there is only one 500mA output. For most basic pedalboards, this isn't a problem.I highly recommend this power supply to all beginners, weekend warriors and garage rockers. The price is so low that you can consider it disposable. If it breaks, just trash it and buy another one.

Solid Power Supply
When this power supply arrived I was surprised at it's relatively small size. I was expecting something bigger. That didn't seem to matter once I plugged it in. The unit is compact, lightweight, and easy to use. For years I have used the 1Spot power supply to power my pedals and while it has served me well I have already gone through several of them. This power supply is better for several reasons. For one this unit is more versatile with it's different power settings. I have an older modified Electro-Harmonix style processor that requires 12v inputs as well as a modified late 70's tricked out fuzz-wah that uses the same. Both these pedals worked with this unit. The standard 9v outputs had no issues. There was no buzzing or odd noises and everything worked accordingly. In comparison to the 1Spot I do like the direct to pedal wires on this unit much better. The wires are of better quality than the 1Spot and they allow for greater distance. They are also thicker which is a problem with the 1Spot. The only drawback would be the weight of the unit itself. It is so light that any kind of disturbance could probably disconnect the wires. I would highly suggest using a velcro strip to attach it to your pedal board to prevent that from happening. The unit comes with individual circuit breakers to avoid any damage. The lights are clear and bright blue and indicate the function. These are very easy to see and can be shut off when not needed. While I didn't have any issues it was good to know that there is some level of protection and in lieu of the performance of the rest of the unit I am fully confident that should the function be needed it will be up to the task. Adding the two cables with reverse polarity was another useful plus. All in all I thought this was a better unit for powering my pedals than the one that I've been using for years. The cables are more durable and less prone to breaking then the relatively thin wires of the 1Spot. There are more options as well as a failsafe making it an even further value. The only drawback was it's size and weight but that can be easily countered. I used this for a month or so before I wrote the review because I wanted to make sure it was up to the task. There was no humming or noise. It performed seamlessly as it was supposed to and its price point is fair and in line with today's market value so I would recommend this to anyone who would rather concentrate on playing instead of wasting time.
