When you are tired of the phone coil stand bouncies
Well made. Sturdy, attaches fairly easily. Does not bounce. Stays still while in use. Only thought is that the bracket tightener could be a bit more centered, but works well as is.

Hard pass on this
Listing shows device being used with a tablet and a phone. Item comes with a proprietary mount that cannot be switched out and is too large for a phone. Also, the mechanism is so hard to move that it twists the mount loose from the desk when making positional adjustments. Sub-par all around.

I love it - my initial one was a little slanted but their customer service replaced it!
This was my initial review from 4/13/23:I was happily using this for a few days to hold a book I’ve been reading. I then decided to put my iPad on it so I could take a picture for the review. When I did, I noticed it’s slanted. I hadn’t noticed when it was holding my book. I included a picture with my iPad on it so you can see it’s visibly slanted. I have another picture where I put it flat against the carpet. Here you can see that the two arms connecting the base and the book holder are also slanted. After noticing the above, I read through the questions asked, the product description again, and reviews on this book stand. I found out what the wrench is for, which I wondered about. I tried to use it to help straighten out the stand, but to no avail. The irritating thing about the wrench is that I don’t know where to put it. There isn’t a place to put it with the book stand. I wonder if I’ll remember I have it by the time I need it again. If I do remember I have it, will I also remember where I put it - I don’t know. Also, in the questions, I noticed it’s for books 1 inch and slimmer. I’m bothered by the fact the product description didn’t indicate this. I never read the Q&As before making an ordering/purchasing decision. But I should have in this case. The book I’m currently reading is about 1 1/2 inches thick. Honestly, it seems to work good for the book. I’ve also included pictures of this stand with a large cookbook (1 1/4 inches thick). The flexible clips are in the middle of the pages instead of off to the sides - it’s not possible to change this; but I don’t feel like it’s a big deal. It seems like it will work for the big cookbook. In spite of sounding a bit negative with the above info, I really like the fact I’m now able to eat and read at the same time. Plus, the stand is very durable. I think it will last a long time. Also, it’s easy to turn. Really, I feel like a book stand is a necessity now that I have one.UPDATE 4/22/23:The seller reached out and graciously offered to send me a new book stand. The new one is perfect. I’m very happy with it and and therefore have changed my review from 3 to 5 stars.I was going to leave a couple of photos of my original book stand, for full transparency. But decided that might be confusing. Therefore, I removed all the original photos and replaced them with photos of my new book stand. Also, since writing my original review, I realized I could use shipping tape to discreetly enclose the wrench in the side of one of the book stand ‘arms’. I have photos showing this too.
