Affordable magnet that’s fun for all ages
Honestly haven’t had the time to use it too much but this is really cool and fun to mess around with. It comes in at a good price while also being as described. I even got a free fishing lure while using this.

Very strong and good price
I chose this kit because the magnet seems to be identical to others that were priced higher. I thought I would have to provide my own thread locker but the magnet came assembled with blue locker already applied. I went fishing once so far and caught some sort of big pipe or bar but couldn't quite get it out. The magnet is plenty strong, I tested it on a 1/8" thick I-beam thinking I'd be able to slide it off but no, couldn't even budge it to the side by pulling or kicking. I had to find a wood 2x4 to ram the magnet from the side to barely move it till I got it off. The only bad is the locking carabineer is really cheap but it's fine, I'll replace it with a screw lock.

All around great to have
Even when you’re not magnet fishing, it’s still good to have around, my man cut his finger in half and I used the rope to tourniquet him.

Tiny and weak
Ordered this as a rope fishing magnet with reviews and as advertised that it could lift 100 lbs. it’s no bigger than a golf ball and cannot lift an iron bolt that weighs nothing and my gas station magnet is frozen to the bolt with fierce strength. Junk magnet.

Worked fine for my application, but..
I used this to remove a metal top from a receiver that was hard to remove without bending or scratching the top. It had sufficient pulling force for my application. Bit of you were going to pull a heavier load, I’m not sure it could pull 50 pounds. You’d have to be sure it was a very straight pull. This is probably the case for the various manufacturers of magnets.
