Saves time and money. Great Build Quality. A Bit Noisy. Simple to use. Not very stable once its full of honey.

Great extractor for the price. Easy to put together and operate. Was very surprised by how quiet it was. In summary here are pros and cons.ProsGood price, works well, easy to use and put together. Disassembly is easy but you do need a tool to loosen the mounting nuts.ConsSlight defect on one of the hinges for the lid. So that side has a small gap, no biggie. Slightly awkward to put med frames in the perpendicular slots, but they do fit. Disassembly is easy but assembly can be a bit fiddely due to the arms that attach to the motor/ central bar not being rigid. They basically flop around and it’s fiddely to align them again. Also no biggie.Lastly the hole for honey gate is a little high up the side of the drum so you need to tip the extractor quite a lot to get the last couple gallons out and if you tip it a 5 gallon bucket no longer fits underneath. I set it up on the longest leg setting as well so this is the main reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. Luckily I’m strong enough to have no issues picking it up and putting it at an angle on top of the bucket to drain the last bit. The extractor seems well made but is not overly heavy which helps.FYI don’t tighten the main 4 nuts on the motor/ central bar too much, I think you could bend it out of shape if you are not careful. I basically used a socket by hand to tighten so there was no play. That was good enough.

When the box arrived it looked like it had been hit with a car. There are holes on all 4 sides and the protective Styrofoam is broken to little chunks. I expected the extractor to flattened inside but no, this thing must be made of tough stuff. Despite parts of the extractor protruding from the holes in the box, the extractor itself doesn't have a scratch, arrived with all its parts and appears to work fine.Haven't had the opportunity to run any frames through it yet but the motor spins and the speed controller works so I'm not expecting problems there. Again, this thing must be tough.

The media could not be loaded. Ordered in July. I just unboxed it to spin honey from the frames I just pulled from the hives. Everything was packaged nicely. However, one of the inside lids that were zip tied to the basket was cracked. It was clearly cracked when the handle was screwed to lid. Yet they wrapped it in foam wrap and shipped it anyway. I loaded my honey frames evenly according to weight for balance (not my first rodeo). First spin revealed the basket is NOT centered and it bangs off the side in one spot (see video). The other side has a lot more space between the drum and basket. The motor Slips and is really weak at its highest speed setting. I was only spinning the small honey super frames. I'd hate to see what happens if i loaded the large frames of honey from my deeps. It takes a long time to extract honey. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!! This product is not worth the money AT ALL! Pay up...Buy a Dadant honey extractor. That's what I used to have. It's better quality and the motor can handle slinging the honey.

It extracts honey quickly and efficiently without damaging the frames. The adjustable stand is a nice touch, making it easy to use. Plus, the transparent lid lets me monitor the extraction process.

This is a very nice extractor. I don’t have to turn a crank handle anymore. Be sure to install the 2 lids before you turn it on or it won’t run. It has safety switches for the lids. Nice feature.

The media could not be loaded. Easy to assemble, right out of the box. If I could change anything, it would be that the legs be long enough to accommodate a 5 gallon bucket without needing 2x4 shims, and that the honey gate be located at the bottom of the extractor so as to drain as much honey as possible from it so that bees don’t drown in the leftovers. (First time mistake. However, on our second harvest, trying to dismantle it to scrape down the sides and bottom while tipping the whole thing so that the honey can make its way up to the gate is quite difficult.)The motor is wonderful, it’s quiet, and it allows for a gradual ramp-up of RPMs, so things don’t get wonky like an imbalanced washing machine. All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase!! Fabulous value.

Because we have a Layens hive with different size frames, we took a chance and modified this to make it fit our frames. It worked perfectly even with the modification. No more doing it by hand.

You have to be careful when assembling the legs because you can shave with some of the parts. It comes down to being aware and careful. Same with some of the motor mount bracketry. Working with assembling the legs needs to be taken seriously and your attention is required, think it out before you start on them, they can be ackward to put on the barrel. I taped them with foam tape after, and that satisfied me for safety measures.I am not at all bothered by that little bit of potential danger and this thing works like a dream.It is quiet and if you balance your frames right it doesn't even shake or vibrate!Thank you Vevor!
