SOLVED A LONG TIME ISSUE FOR US
THANK YOU, SPEED TALK! I bought 3 kiddo waterproof smart watches for my girls for a family trip to Great Wolf Lodge. I want to give them some freedom to play the magiquest game, but not at the expense of their safety, so I figured some smart watches that I could GPS/call/etc was the perfect fix. However, I went through hell and back trying to find SIM cards and service that would work for them!!! I bought and activated over 10 SIM cards from all different companies, wasting a ton of money in the process, only to come up short-handed on the results. Then I came across these bad boys. Instant relief. It took me MAYBE 5 minutes each to set them up and they worked as soon as I powered the watches on. They warn it may take up to 72 hours for the GPS to work, but in my case, it worked instantly. Calls are clear and not choppy, and I could not be more satisfied. At just under $6/ea, I couldn't ask for better value, and you get a decent amount of minutes/texts/data to start. Make sure you un-check the "auto re-fill" box when you register, or it will continue to charge you each month. Read what you're signing and you shouldn't have any issues (in reference to other reviews on here). I know I will continue to re-use the service on trips to come. THANK YOU AGAIN, SPEED TALK! YOU ROCK!

Reloading nightmare
This works great at first. Easy install - worked great for the little bit a kid needed it for. Then it came time to reload a balance! It wouldn't take my credit card without a paper application. When they sent me the paper app, it wouldn't print out as the print function wasn't 'on.' I'd had enough and just added my kid to my own Mint Mobile plan, which I just should have done to begin with. Oh, and had to change the # when I went to Mint because SpeedTalk doesn't have the criteria to even transfer a #. Save your $5 and put it towards a different carrier.

Cheap. Works as described
I got this with free one-day shipping to an Amazon locker in Seattle. At $9.75, which includes $5 in credit (500 MB for what I want it for), this is the best deal I could find off- or online. I have an out-of-country visitor who needs very basic internet access when not on WiFi. Activation online was a breeze. The instructions on the website were clear. Read them carefully, and give yourself about 10 minutes and be patient. (If you bought this because it is cheap, remember that you are not going to get the slickest white-glove experience.) I was able to test the data access as soon as the phone powered up after installing the new SIM. As other reviewers have noted, you will be asked to provide a credit card number for auto-renewal. (If you leave a positive review, you get an extra free month added to your current month - I have no idea how much data, if any, that translates to. I need mine for only two weeks.)

Bad experience
- Bad signal & slow internet connection.- Missing receiving SMS.- You can request to speak supervisor but they only hold you while and says the supervisor will call you back.- They don't call you back.- Worst customer service experience with a bunch of lies and customer support based in India.- No company retail stores in USA.Port-out meaning move from speedtalkmobile to another provider, you need to get your account number and pin for the provide your new carrier. Unfortunately, they are not giving you this information, and they stay playing with you! How? let me explain, First, you need to call them and they will say you can't get this information by the phone and you need to go to speedtalkmobile website and request by form, then you will receive an SMS message and SMS message it says Please, Contact support. When you call them, they are asking for your order, a receipt for the SIM card by email after email to them the receipt they will request $10 for port out fee if you want to leave them before 90 days as they said! But if you stay with them for more than 90 days and request to put out your number to another carrier, then they will start the same game again, but at the end of the game, they are requesting a $10 port out fee!- 90-day rule: they don't let you get your number port out, they are requesting a stay with them 90 days or pay with credit card $10 for port out a fee with proof of purchase receipt!-More than 90 days rule: they don't let you get your account number and pin you need to provide to them purchase receipt after they got the receipt they will ask to you by email $10 port out fee!

Just what I needed
I bought this SIM card along with a kids smart watch for my grandson. It came with easy to follow instructions for setting it up online or you can call to activate it. I activated it online and received a phone number right away. It's easy to select the applicable size from the punch-out card so it fit the smart watch. This one came with a pre-loaded plan, but there are other plans available too. You will have the option of viewing them when you activate the card. They have unlimited usage plans, but I chose a lower plan to start with. However, there's an option that I chose to select that will automatically add a $5 "cash card" to the account if the minutes run out. This will avoid any interruption in service. The nice thing about the cash card is that it rolls over to the next month if you don't use it all up in the month you acquired it.

Easy to install; works great on Dual SIM
I wanted an inexpensive option for my business line for infrequent communications via text, and this simple monthly plan for $5 was exactly what I was looking for. Works great in my dual SIM phone. Installation and setup was easy on my Samsung Note 10. Worked on the first try. Update 6/15/23: after almost a year I am downgrading from 5 stars. This phone number is constantly getting spammed by marketers and employers looking for their interviewee. I am not sure where the pool of phone numbers come from. I have another phone using Mint and do not have any of these issues. Fortunately I only need this phone number for rare situations otherwise I would never use it as my regular personal phone number.
