Very well engineered
Perfect fit! Not only looks good but very well engineered. Have a buddy help you heft it on to the roof as it is not only on the heavy side, but got a bit awkward when my 65 year old dad-bod tried to do it himself. For the record the instructions do suggest a 2 person lift.

Amazing product
I am a woman of 163 inches tall and I was able to lift this by myself and put it on top of my Jeep. All the videos that are attached to this product I followed them step-by-step and I have not had a problem with this product shifting moving or anything while on top of the Jeep. It is very secure. I think I’m gonna buy a third leg so I can add a rooftop tent. All in all this product is a five out of five stars.

FITS PERFECT AT A FRACTION OF THE COST OF OTHERS
Although the reviews are mixed, I found this roof rack to be very well made and it fit perfect. I put this on a 2019 JL Wrangler 4 door. The doors open as they should and the "T" tops can still be removed. The rack and mounts don't rattle, and the wind noise is not excessive. The rack is large enough for a hi-lift jack, shovel, axe, traction boards, tow strap, and other miscellaneous off-road crap. The only down side, if it is indeed a down side, is that you can't reach into the rack to retrieve gear without standing on the door step or rear seat. After installing the rack I ordered a tire step from Amazon to make retrieving gear easier. This rack weights over 60 pounds and is awkward to install without help. Luckily I had an overhead hoist in my shop and was able to position the rack without too much difficulty. I'm not a big fan of the hex head bolts used in the assembly of the rack and mounts, but it is what it is. I would purchase this product again.

Looks good
Looks great and very well built, it was just very heavy to put it on top and I WISH IT CAME WITH THE LITTLE SCREWDRIVER because I had a really HARD time to find the one that for it, I had to go to Lowes and try different ones. This is not an easy task for a girl, as for help. After all that it really looks good on my jeep and feels super strong.

Don’t recommend
Came missing one long screw and another long screw is defective. Manufacturer still has yet to respond to my email (via their website customer service). One of the rubber covers was also defective in size— too big— which causes it to fall off, which then scratched up my car paint. Yeah, I’m stoked about that. Especially since I have to cough up another $70 to touch-up all the damages that this POS rack caused. The biggest issue I have is the clamps that hold the rack in place are poorly measured. It overlaps the door frame, preventing the door from opening. I had to remove the (properly fitting rubber covers) and apply clear vinyl protective tape where the latches meet the car paint. This gave it enough room to allow my doors to open with very minimal friction, if any. But yes, ANOTHER additional cost for this roof rack.Simply the frustration of trying to send this massive parcel back to the silent manufacturer is a headache in itself. I’m still debating if it’s worth returning— my car is already damaged and I’ve spent additional money just to make this product acceptable. In the meantime, I’m still trying to find the right screws/bolts for two empty spots. It performs, but have yet to see how well when attaching bulky and heavy items. but other than that… it’s on my jeep. It is a little noisy, but not enough to be frustrated. This newer design has open areas for the air to flow versus its previous design.

Damaged parts sent - Damaged prior to shipping
Box was not damaged but product came damaged with powder coat missing. Decided to avert from usual brand to try a new brand and for the price point I am on the fence. If the box would have been damaged then I would not be as harsh. Unfortunately I do not have time to return and by a different one as I have a short turn around. Hopefully the other Hooke Road products that were ordered with this do not disappoint. It seems to be only one side that is damaged and I may see if just the damaged sections can be ordered and replaced. Have not received an answer back.

Works with Bestop Sunrider! Good value for the price
Nice little rack and YES it does work with the Bestop Sunrider on the 4 door JLU. See picture attached, with the rack in this position the Sunrider does not touch it during use.Overall a nice decent quality rack for $300 price is is currently (June 2023). Rack comes disassembled in long box, weighs a little over 70 lbs. Box was beat up pretty good when I got it but no major damage to the rack beyond a few minor scratches. You have to be careful to not scratch it up when putting together, especially if on driveway or garage floor. I'd recommend you lay out a blanket or assemble in the grass or something.Mounting once assembled could be done by one guy if he's young and somewhat strong, but its a lot easier with two people to lift it up onto the roof of the Jeep. Once in place on roof it's fairly easy for one person to line up and tighten down, etc.I'd also recommend you inspect it carefully after assembly and be sure to touch up an scratched areas or it will rust....this is a STEEL rack meaning if you see bare metal it's going to rust. I used a small bottle of matte black rim paint on mine. Today, about a week after installing, I found a small rusted spot where I didn't touch up. Not a big deal, but something to keep eye on.Overall the rack looks great, seems sturdy enough to meet the 150 lb weight limit. I'll be mounting an awning to mine and possibly a shovel on the other side so I can look cool :)
