Informational
First off, I really love the feel of the book from the size to the font to the style of the pages. I began fly fishing a year ago and only just read this book and I feel that this is a good handbook to keep on you and was a good read well worth the money. The drawings and pictures are top quality. The only thing it could have done better is include how to use certain rigs. For example the dry dropper rig. I can't recall the book really telling you the best way to use it.Overall it's a good book to read if your beginning fly fishing.

Some sections of the book need upgrading.
Some sections of the book need upgrading and a lot of new fly fishing styles are missing such as Euro Nymphing. And phrases in the book such as “holding the fish up for that Hero Shot” could be probably be changed to “YouTube Shot” to match what fishermen are now doing to the poor fish.In general, this is a pretty good book to make somebody knowledgeable enough to try Fly Fishing.

Needs a Kindle edition
This is a really great book chocked full of good advice and tips for those wanting more knowledge of fly fishing. I just wish they made it in a Kindle digital edition.

Comprehensive & Straightforward
“Everything should be reduced to its simplest, but no simpler” -attributed to Albert EinsteinThis little book by no means oversimplifies. It move along from topic to topic imparting knowledge without being mysterious and covering a comprehensive and thoughtful set of topics. The author defines his mission and beautifully executes the book.

Not for a basic beginner
Gives lots of good information but overwhelming for anyone looking for just the basics of “ How to hook a line” or items for real beginners.

Excellent book for beginners.
The best I have read thus far. Very informative and easy to understand. Helps when you start out in a sport which can seem complicated and full of buzz words.

Exactly what I wanted
This is a great book, although written for American Market it is exactly what I required but couldn't get. The chapters are each an individual teaching aid, so I can go to which ever chapter I need, not necessary to plough through book to find the bit you want. So thanks.
