At 13 microns thick I would not call these bags durable. They are strong enough to get the job done and are intended to be used once. I sometimes carry 2 gallons of water in one bag and when I am done the bottom has a tear in it. The bag holds together but is by no means heavy-duty. Some states/cities have outlawed these bags and grocery stores do not have them. They charge you anywhere from 10 to 50 cents to buy a paper bag. If you buy the box of 1000 of these they cost 2 to 3 cents each. If you are concerned about the environmental impact they cannot be put in with curbside recycling plastic but many stores and retailers have a bin where they can be returned for recycling. Your local municipal recycling center may also take them. Once you have a box of 1000 of them and they are so inexpensive you start to find many uses for them. If you are returning books to the library instead of fumbling with 5 or 6 books just grab a plastic bag. I use them as garbage bags for small garbage cans (such as in the bathroom). If you are doing some painting in the house and don't want to stand the can of paint on the floor and drip paint just put a plastic bag underneath it. Bringing a casserole or salad to a party and don't want the bowl to leak all over the car? Put it in a bag. Coming home from the gym, pool, or beach and don't want to put wet or sweaty clothes in your backpack. Put them in a bag and tie the top closed. Leaving your bicycle locked at the train station all day when rain is in the forecast and don't want to return to a wet seat? Put a bag over it and tie it closed. Many people now bring one of these when they walk their dog to pick up the dog's waste. Some retail stores sell special "poop bags" that are the same exact plastic bag as these except they have cute names and cost 5 to 50 cents each. These cost 2 to 3 cents each.

Just what my family needed!Now that plastic bags are provided with a fee, our home has been running low on these items. We tend to recycle & reuse these plastic bags for a number of things- from lining our waste baskets, packing meals, & have used this for craft projects.Purchasing these bags have been great because they are lightweight but very sturdy. The size isn’t too big but absolutely isn’t small. The bags are very easy to use and won’t break the bank.

Can't get bags at stores where we live . I use to save em and re-use em .

I used to buy a different bag that I love, until they changed them and now you can't easily open them! These open easily enough - but they separate from the one behind them TOO easily! So when you try to open just the front so the bag will sit open (while on a holder) for you to fill it, the back comes off the stack as well, essentially closing the bag making it very difficult to load! Still better than the ones that won't open at all, but I will probably try a different one again next time.
