Works perfectly with Makita hand vacuum, I'm sure works great with their other tools
Perfect to revive a Makita hand vacuum that had been sitting because the battery went dead. I switched to milwaukee tools and now can even make a spare battery into a phone charger without their expensive power supplies. The hand vac now lasts longer than it ever has. Works great!

Good fit. Possibly drains battery.
I got this to adapt a Dewalt battery to a work light my daughter gave me which uses Makita batteries. It fits perfectly to the light and the batteries. Quality seems good. It should be a perfect solution but there is one irritating issue and I don't know if it is the adapter or the light causing it. I can't leave a battery in it. There is some sort of parasitic drain that discharges the battery even when the light is off. It will pull the battery down to zero and I have to jump charge it off another battery to get it to work again. I only took off one star because I don't know if this is a problem with the light or adapter and I don't have a way to test it.

I have bought so many of these!!!
Makita off brand is so much cheaper than the DeWalt, for the same manufacture of the off brand tool, but with these, you can still use your 20v batteries and get the lower cost tool. A win win, and if I ever swap to Makita, well, that is covered too!

Actually works with Makita star tools
I got this to use SnowJoe 24v batteries on my Makita brushless weed whacker. If you're wondering about that, the connection method is very similar between the batteries and the contacts line up and have the same polarity. However you have to trim this adapter in a few different directions to get them connected. The Makita weed trimmer RIPS with the bigger better higher voltage battery. I'm happy, got done what I planned with this thing. I've not tried the USB port or checked to see how fast it drains an attached battery wile sitting. I've just kept the battery off of it when not in use.The big take away though is that it DOES work with the star tools. The trimmer is very picky about the battery.

Adapter to allow use of a Dewalt style pack on a no name brand portable drill
Got a portable drill a while back and wanted to see if a higher capacity battery pack was available. As this was a off brand Chinese model (Tegatok), they only made 2 AH packs, and the mechanical and electrical interface looked to be non-standard (not Dewalt compatible). After a lot of research, it looked like this drill would accept a pack made for a Milwaukee brand drill. But most replacement packs are meant to be used with a Dewalt drill. This adapter solved the problem. Fits my drill and allows Dewalt compatible packs to be used.

It works but take the battery out when you're finished
The adapter works, qualities not so bad. But if you leave it in your drill then your battery will die so I guess there's a small power draw that's constant in the adapter. 3 days after installing fresh battery and just testing it out I went to use it and my DeWalt battery was completely dead. Luckily it charged because a lot of times when they go dead you can't get them to charge anymore. Battery was new, and fully charged just 3 days before.
